Ha ha, not much anymore and a little bit less each day... I used to hold AS1796 and ASME IX codes for tig and stick on pipe years ago when I was a Boilermaker but I doubt I could pass them again now. I have since found more fun things to do with my days, or at least less boring. Maybe I should start making frames 'Gav Spackson™' made from cheese....

It'll be high carbon steel and will be brittle after welding. Don't bother.
For the £10 it will cost at a Fab shop you could have bought a cheap lock that will be stronger than your fixed lock. Mini Kryps are like £25 new online anyway aren't they?
To do it right will involve pre/post heat treatment and low hydrogen electrodes or wire. This will cost more than it's worth for sure.

^ Ha!
tbh Lasmo with such strict criteria you could be searching for a years. There's quite a few road lo-pros around but track versions are a bit harder to come by, especially with curvy tubes and a 700c front. Not saying they're not out there, just that you may need to be persistent, and prepared to pay top dorrah if and when one comes up in your size.
I think all are adult can be commenting for fear of ban.
