JonnyRau and Leafeater are either the same person...or Leafeater is jonnys 'evil' brother that gets stuff for free and then sells it on at a profit...either way...
You are a lying, selfish, two faced git.
This Concorde was won by 'Jonny' for £44, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170531000693&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
and then Leafeater tried to sell it today for £125 (minus wheels etc)...http://www.lfgss.com/thread50431.html
I may be mistaken though I do not believe that 2 indentical sized/coloured/set up bikes would surface at the same time?
Can you explain yourself Jonny Leafeater?

You mean this one?
Some of you people are getting a bit rich you know?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170531000693&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
it cost you £44
To be so blatant is a piss take?
you only posted it two days ago saying what a steal you got?

I know and i have apologised for this. Im not saying i didnt do it!
I remarked the other day on the track stem that was attched to your bike that was for sale...you hadn't noticed, I say 'thats a track stem'...you say 'oh'...
and an hour later it's for sale separate to the bike for sale, the difference being that most people on here would go ''...oh yes, how fortunate, whoever bags that bike now can get a track stem too, bung me another £20 or something''...and within an hour or two it was for sale seperately to maximise your own profit...
and that just seems to be what you are here for ...to make a buck...and not to participate?
whatever, you do what you do..if the shit fits, wear it...though it won't impress many people here.
I sound like some sort of jury, or moral horseman that isn't really my intention, other people have noticed thats all.
-
thanks montage for that constructive comment
Hey, you cannot blame anyone for your position, you...and you only, got shit all over your shoes because you chose to walk this path...we didn't send you down it.
Taking parts for free and selling them on...is the ultimate shitty act?
This place is a tough place, it's hard, but people are as straight as fuck and very, very generous, and to abuse that trust is the mark of a gobshite.
end of.

wingedangel. you're missing the point by a mile.
i dont care that he may have decided not to sell the bike. in fact if he found some other way to pay his rent then good for him and he gets to keep his bike. this would be a nice outcome.my point is this:
advertise goods for sale
recieve offer from potential buyer
respond yes or no to offer
or
notify all of withdrawal of itemsplacing an ad inviting buyers to bid then ignoring their responses is simply rude.
also, what is it about my savings account that riles you up so much? i assure you it isnt stuffed full of of unearned trust fund money. i only mentioned it because the time penalty for withdrawal is relevant to the offer i made.
hey ...Cowboy...calm the fuck down? You are missing my point also....I wasn't even making a point to counter act yours...I was simply adding a scenario...it may be bollocks...who knows or cares...I do not.
Nothing riles me? I was simply saying that...he wanted a quick sale, you asked him to wait...not what he wanted really either ...is it?
he was selling his bike to pay the rent...not a pleasant situation...and and and and?
what?
He hasn't answered you. and? thats life. and who mentioned a trust fund? I didn't ...my comment was about the state of banking not your parents wealth? I commented on the high interest 'we'll make you fucking pay for asking for it too soon' mentality that is the only way you are going to make any interest on any of your hard earned money...anything that isn't locked in for about five fucking years pays about .025% anyway...
having to sell your wheels to pay the rent is rude too...? maybe he'd rather forget all about it for another 4 weeks until he might have to sell the fucker again?
life is shit...you missed a bike...you will live...he keeps his bike for a month...we all keep breathing air...
Please...it's not a huge deal, you're pissed off, though hey, lets keep things in perspective ok?

You can spray another layer of clearcoat over the applied decals, for that extra peace of mind. Cans of the stuff can be purchased are places like Halfrauds.
Don't get it from halfords ...it's shite, get it from the paint factors place around the back of bethnal green on tent street...they do single pack acrylic in cans that sprays really nicely..
I can put decals on if needed...I did a geurciotti for Dad on the forum and you can see the frame on my profile...if you want a hand thats cool too.
-
Fair bit of space between the engine and rear wheel there Scrapper, is that frame gunna cope?
I'll get a new photo of my Iron with the new seat/QR sissy and rack tomorrow. It looks like dogshit with the sissy bar on, but if you want to go 2 up for any distance it's pretty necessary.
That black sporty up-page is lish!
I was thinking that but not that, I'm sure it will be fine however, I was thinking the chain is awful long...

One ofmy first bikes was an RVF 400 - Such a sweet ride, and an amazing bike to learn proper skills on without killing yourself, have been considering getting another one, but pretty hard to find one that hasnt been ragged these days

have to post that again...that is the bike I have wnated since it came out...not too heavy, handles well, good top end, everything in one...kerching...VV..I really envy you!! well done.

the thing with the most efficient suspension will be better all round.
masses of travel is used for freeride bikes and doing big gaps/drops.
you way of thinking hasn't made it onto the DH circuit yet.ok...take deepest suspension as a typo...what I meant to say was...best...aha...copout...;D. though, like I said on the previous page the closer the remit gets to a motocrosser the better 'they' will be, the whole front big wheel thing has to be step in the right direction as each wheel performs better for the two different tasks required? just thinking anyway.
I don't know much about the differences though surely you mean the oposite? that the downhill bike is longer with deeper suspension as it is only going downhill fast withtout the intricacies of freeride? freeride being more technical?
if thats what you meant ignore me...! ;D -
Is that the collective noun for gits?
I've always liked a 'murder of crows', fucking things scare the granny out of me.
Dovvles, they are meant to ...they are the messengers from the underworld, and have always been associated with shape shifting. I have a dead crow in my freezer, his feathers are incredible, jet black that iridesces emerald green, they have almost got a coat at armourtex that does that...;D

someone let me know if i'm out of line in bitching about this:
ad was placed - http://www.lfgss.com/thread48473.html
i dibs'ed and PMd
offered to transfer a holding deposit as it would be a while before i could get up to nottingham to collect/pay as well to cover the time during the usual transfer of funds from high interest savings rigmarole. holding deposit would keep bike for me and assure seller that i would actually go through with the transaction. 100quid so not an amount you'd walk away from.
no reply was recieved to my PM or the subsequent two follow ups.
the thread has not been updated to indicate that the item has sold.
so just silence from the seller.i think it's a bit shit to advertise an item/take up space on the servers/waste potential buyer's and observer's time with ads which are then abandoned.
i hope that package is ok and the apparent abandoning of his ad isnt due to something unfortunate on his end.
if he is ok though it would be good if he would close the thread and indicate item sold or withdrawn.package - not a bad trader as such as no trade took place, but dude - where the fuck did you go?
am i just being churlish?
Hey...if you read the thread...? he had advertised the bike to pay his rent...which is heart breaking...he dropped it to a really silly price to sell it quicker...and you ask him to hang on a week or three whilst you get money from your high interest super saver we'll kick your arse around the park and scream and moan if you pull it out to quickly like a virgin on a first date account...
rather than be rude to you...he just didn't answer, which is valid option. I have bought loads of things here, and have let some people down. Partly due to me having a really bad short term memory (fractured my skull when I was 16) which is exacerbated by weed smoking, and if i don't deal with things immeadiately or write them down ...they just drift off into the ether, as a general rule I don't do too bad...though some people I have pissed off and not intentionally either, just circumstance really.
Anyhow...was just putting his side of the story down in case he found his rent money and didn't have to sell his 'pride and joy' and all is well with the world and he's been riding soo much he forgot all about his ad? -

**
I'd be very tempted to take up mmcathy's offer, and give the 69er route a go. I'd always recommend a bigger, more aggressive, tyre on the front anyway, so why not a bigger wheel.** I
.This has always been the case with motorcycling (and motorcrossing specifically), and coming from a motor cycling family, my dad (when I was little) brazed a new brace on the rear forks of my dawes bike (with the rigded top tube) so I could have a smaller 24'' back wheel on my bike, that bike with (huge wide cowhorns on it )was envied...;D
I would have thought that the best compromise was the large front wheel (you get all the benifits to get over stuff...anlge of attack..ie the larger radius over a blip is always better ...and then to put the power to the ground, the 26 is better to accelerate with as you have less wheel to move and it's smaller...)
Purely from an engineers/physics point of view the 69 is better...from all angles.
hey is there room still to join you?
