yea the whole frames like it, so im not fussed really, i guess it just wasnt to the sellers tastes hence the bogus tar story. could email him and ask him to refund me the £4.99 for the tar and bug cleaner i bought from halfords. or ask him to put it towards a pair of them back kicks so i look extra fly.
anyways, the frames pretty clean now at least.

if the seller says it was tar, im going to believe it was tar. and i really dont think its part of the paintjob. though it might well be paint, but like i said, not too fussed, rather not have it but it looks alright. who knows, if i cant get the black off maybe ill splatter it with some white to give it some extra jazz.

okay, so, WD40 did nothing. Starting to be a skeptical of the sellers story; said that it happened when a road tar sprayer went past, but i peeled off a few of the decals, and its underneath them, so not too sure. also, its not tacky at all, and sort of look more like black enamel paint. i think ill get some white spirit and give it a go.

Recently bought a frame off ebay, which as loads of tar specks from a tar spreading machine. i thought no bother, got myself to halfords and bought some "bug and tar remover spray". It has however, done sweet FA. wondered if anyone has had any experience removing tar from a frame without messing up the paint job?

i see your point. so my budget is about £40, compatibility i have no idea, so this is what ive got and any help would be appreciated; shimano BB, no idea about it and wont until the frame arrives so thats pretty unhelpful, formula hubs. looking for chain ring 42T ideally. if someone has cheap cranks that they know will get a good chainline with formula hubs and a specific BB then i woulnt mind having to buy a new BB if it doesnt put too much on top of the budget.

i have had a look, and theres not really that much so i thought id ask. to be honest, bcd wise, i havent got any idea about it, i bought a frame on ebay, which has a Sugino Ritchey 180 B10 right hand crank but no left hand. the seller guesses that the 180 is the legnth, but i havent been able to find out anything about it and it hasnt arrived yet. not sure what the BB is either other than shimano square tapered, so as im pretty eager to get it up and running as soon as it arrives i thought it see if anybody has any cranks that would probally be good for it. have tried to find a left hand crank matching the one it has at the moment but no joy.

Bought a frame off eBay, but unfortunatley it is missing the LH crank. it hasnt arrived yet, but the seller says the RH has "Sugino Ritchey 180 B10" printed on it, so i was hoping someone out there had a LH for it, or one that would fit it? guessing the 180 is the legnth, so anything in 180 in chrome would be good. thanks

wide enough
dont know i guess maybe i have small hands, there about an inch or so bar left once my hands are in a comfortable position, so its not a problem.
