Same thing happened to me, had various jobs about town to do this afternoon and got caught up in all the traffic congestion, street after street where I wanted to go closed off. Did 13 miles this afternoon but it felt much longer!
Yep the traffic was a nightmare today.. Good trackstand practice though all that starting and stopping, but I should have gone south of the river to find some clear road..
And I missed the fireworks...

I did see him off good and proper, he caught up with me at the red light at Pembury Junction, I live there but thought I'd do Pembury Rd just to teach him a second lesson, good training too..
2 pints and a ride home yes!.. I think less hair might have helped a bit as well.You're right, the 1 lined star does look good - cheers...

I went out for a great ride around the city of London this afternoon forgetting that the Lord Mayor wanted it all to himself, spent most of the time running up flights of stairs with my bike on my shoulder trying to cut through the back alleyways.. So I went for a hair cut and a pint.
The ride home was much more successful though, the guy on the geared Bianchi had no chance through Dalston then up Pembury Rd...
