Cool. See you at Tfafalgar Sq at 7.00
I will be the man on a bicycle looking for another man on a bicycle.
Excellent - sounds like Spins will be there as well - we will be about from 6.30 ish - heading off at 7.00.
Spins can be identified as he is a man on a bike - in fact it is the same as my bike (does that help?)

I've been wanting to join North drinks for a while so if anyone is going from trafalgar sq that would be great.
Also, Swaines? Prob missing something obvious but thought i'd check.
Dan
I will be at Traf sq at 7.00 if there are any takers for a Norths Compass ride.
Such that you can identify me, I will be a man on a bicycle.
Swaines is a road on the way to the pub. It helps you prepare for your first beer.

It's Tuesday, it's sunny, it's time for North Drinks!
It's also the compass rides so if there are any newbies or lurkers that would like to join us for a beer tonight, there should be seople riding up from Trafalgar Sq.
Volunteers?
If I can make Norths, I will volunteer - will confirm by lunchtime.
Any group I lead will involve mandatory Swaines action.

2 't's :p
Oh, that was you. I was really feeling quite ill at that point (maybe the fact I was wobbling along at 3mph gave it away).
I can't skid, BTW. There. I've said it.
I can't spell - teachers used to tell me this at school - my answer was to have such poor handwriting that it was all a bit ambiguous, fortunately spell check has taken care of that theses days.
By way of penance I will go up Muswell Hill today on the way home, instead of over the slightly easiers Ally Pally climb. -

Cycle surgery in West Hampstead machined the fork I bought for my road bike down to the smaller size to fit my Campag headset. It is done with a rather old fashioned looking tool that costs about £500 for some reason.
They did it for free and it took about 3.5 minutes. I gave them a contribution to their beer fund.

Don't want to hijack the thread with my own personal problems...butI have some related headset issues. When I tighten the top race (?) it will be fine for a little bit then start to loosen itself - esp if I go over a few bumps. If I tighten it more then it binds and doesn't want to turn corners.
I have become used to tightening it by hand at the traffic lights, or while moving. I'm sure this isn't right though!
You should be able to tighten the locknut down onto the top race (independant of the tightness of the top race). Also there should be a notched washer between the two.
