The East Coast National Rail from London to Edinburgh, which often stops at York often does it, from what I've seen. Ive seen endless people with bikes coming off it, BUT I could be wrong.
I get that train with my bike all the time. You have to book your bike on in adavnce, and if the allotted spaces are gone, they're gone. I don't know the limit but it's not more than a handful.
Edit: five, thanks for the link, Oliver.

I'm always impressed by women and men carrying kids in child seats. It looks incredibly difficult getting on without the bike tipping over.
I think possibly my earliest memory is being propelled out of the child seat when my Mum came off the bike on black ice. Into a ditch full of stinging nettles. She never drove and we lived in the middle of nowhere, so we each had a few years in the childseat before we could cycle ourselves. Never traumatised me, though…

Either there's no such thing as fish, or we're all fish.
Told to me by the fish curator of the Natural History Museum, when he came to a poker game at my flat once. It means that, to find a common ancestor for everything we call a fish, you have to go so far back that it's our common ancestor too.
Blew. My. Mind.

This seems to be happening a fair bit. I was sitting on my bike outside topshop at Oxford circus waiting for my sister and some people from one of those 'style' website thingummys asked to take pictures. I think it was mainly about the bike as I was dressed pretty scruffily and Im no hipster. I let them though, and the pictures were nice quality. Then I saw someone else taking a picture of me when I was stopped at the lights. Bit weird not to be asked, or to know what use its going to be put to.

I have not had that particular pleasure, Marky.
haha!
ok, the reason I think it's too big is that 21" is 53.5cm. Aparrently (and according to the stalkers) ldngrrl is 5'5" so is gonna need a 50-52 frame. Probably.
I agree. Spooky.
You'd be ok but it's not ideal. A 50/52cm would be, probably.
That said, everyone's proportions are different, so who knows.

Shit thing is though, finding high calorie foods when you're allergic to dairy like me is a bloody nightmare...especially in small local shops once you're on the road :(
Home-made cashew nut butter is incredibly calorific, and a good way to get a shit load of nuts into a small container. Highly recommended for long rides.
Just dry fry 300 grams of cashews in a wok till they're brown and toasted, then blitz them for ten minutes till the oils are released by the heat of the food processor. Add salt.

That's a movable feast, Oliver. Wearing undergarments next to one's nether regions is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
