I had this idea for a South London parks ride (only you don't actually ride in the parks). I think it's a fun route except the Old Kent Road bit (that's my commute so I'm incapable of doing something more creative).
Now that I think about it I might try and double the distance by adding Victoria, Regents and Hyde.
As it is you hit Clapham Common, Brockley, Dulwich, Peckham Rye, and the beautiful Burgess Park.
I did this yesterday and enjoyed it. Aside from the wind. Also, it didn't help that I threw my chain just after cresting Tulse Hill and spent an hour trying to jerk it loose in the cold...

Hi all, I'm new but I specifically searched Old Kent Road for this kind of thread. My commute is from Peckham Hill Street to Farringdon and I can't find a fast route that doesn't involve OKR. I've only been doing it since January but I can't help but think the straight shot is safer than a load of intersections and side road traffic weaving. The flyover at Bricklayer's Arms is enough reason to do it on the way home.
Any OKR commuters know a safer route?
I tried using it a lot when I got the iPhone App. If you have an iPhone it's pretty nice in that it will track your route for you and you can go view it online later. Cuts out all the clicking...
Unfortunately it just can't seem to find me and stay with me very well. Maybe it's London. I might try it again next time just to see if they've improved it at all.
