hold on a cotton pickin minute, does it leave Oxford sat p.m then? ...Im getting interested
you can borrow my hope l.e.d. 2 if you wants it?
Yes leaving Oxford Saturday evening, and arriving at the beach in Christchurch sometime on Sunday morning. Would be great if I could borrow the light, but won't you be wanting it if you do the ride?Transport worries. Are there worries?
You can also just book your ticket online and then give them a ring to book your bike on (no need to actually prove you're getting on the train). And then they post out the reservation for your bike. It's a bit annoying that you can't reserve a bike space online.

The current obsession with combining two words does my head in, eg. jeggings, slankets, sporks, bromance etc.
Fuck off immediately.
Or worse, taking the first couple of letters from first and surnames to make a 'new' and 'original' name. Like SuBo ...Also, sticking "gate" on the end of everything any time there is any sort of scandal. Fuck Off!

19th June. I'm signed up for it, still need to order a decent front light... -
I think the rules are a little contradictory, whenever the safety car is out on the last lap it will always pull into the pits just before the chequered flag, and cars will always cross the SC line, so if they were to continue waving yellow flags the message would be clear. Waving green flags tells the drivers "game on". Mistake by the FIA or whoever is telling the stewards what flags to wave?
-
Given that the safety car had pulled in, they were past the safety car line when the overtake occurred, and the stewards were all waving green flags (see below quote from F1 website) , I'd say it was a fair overtake.
Green flag
All clear. The driver has passed the potential danger point and prohibitions imposed by yellow flags have been lifted. -

You don't want to visit the pain cave when you're riding home from work.
Nice job, that is pretty fast.
Cheers. Most of my riding at the moment is getting to/from work so like to push it a bit every now and again.
Just finished 107 miles / 7000 ft of climbing. Having difficulty walking, talking and not eating everything in sight.
The best thing about doing long ride: The massive amounts you can eat when you finish without feeling bad about it :D -

Halfway there:

Got new bar tape, brakes, and seat post on the way. The wheels could do with a bit of a clean, too. Would prefer silver rims but would also prefer to keep the cost down. Nicer cranks also on the wish list. -
