Gah, that sucks. This happened to a friend coming off Old St roundabout to the west - bent forks, totally fucked face/hands/knees etc, the only thing we could see was a drain cover with about 1cm depression which I regularly ride over without thinking about.

What happened? I work there (not last night though), only realised this was going on the other day.

Looks great, i hardly recognised the cranks.. did they polish up ok?

I actually decided not to polish them in the end! Thought they'd stand out too much against the other more dull components. And I wanted to put it all together and ride it asap, I was bikeless for two weeks.

Thanks, yeah I know those bars are a bit offensive but it's all I have for now and I need to ride it! The tyre is a Vittoria Rubino. Not sure how I feel about the look of it, I thought it'd look great with the white details on the frame but maybe it'd look neater with plain black.

Ah yeah, should've mentioned length... at least 165mm from insertion line to rails.

Write some details on a piece of paper and stick it inside the bars or seat tube. I read that on here last year and thought it was pretty nifty. Not sure how much it'd help in real life (IRL) though..?
