What a weekend. Bit damp but had a blast despite the anti-social weather gods. The camping crew rocked out and it was great to see all the familiar faces and meet some new ones.
Highlights:
-First night of camping with the anticipation of Sunday's epicness
-Running into various familar faces at all points of the ride
-Riding with, Joe Smith, KattieP, Matt, Moth, M.F., Arducius, Hamsandwich, Pifko, Dogsballs, Helen, No.8, John and anyone I've missed off the list
-Eating Roadies on the hills
-The leg between Yarmouth and East Cowes after stuffing myself with multiple cakes and rolls. I must have been taking it easy for the first half 'cos I felt quite strong on this leg. M.F., Arducius, Matt, Pifko and myself set a good fast pace.
-Beers at East Cowes with the happy campers and the posh B&Bers
-Carvery and gallons of beer at the sloop to top off a brilliant day.
-Pub quiz with worst answer sheet ever.
-Jack coming up with possibly the best pub quiz team name ever: Quiz on my face -

And that nonsense about damaging someone's car is obviously just meant to let off some steam on-line and, I'm certain, is not meant seriously. It's important to be humourless about it, as some people may take it literally and assume that some people think that it would be a proportionate reaction.
Of course, I do not condone damaging anyone's personal property. I have only "heard" that such mischievious skullduggery occurs from time to time.

@megoid, if you get no joy from the police you might be able to wrangle the registered address of that car. It would be a shame if some rancid milk managed to get into the flow through ventilation system. I hear the place to pour the milk is that slot between the top of the bonnet and the bottom of the windscreen, which is a high pressure zone and pushes air through the ventilation passages into the inside of the vehicle. I also hear that the smell will never go away.

I removed a siezed post once.
Drill a largish hole through near the base of the post.
Fit a long 3/8 socket extention through it (a screwdriver will be too flexible)
Lay the bike sideways on the ground and using wood and sheets/blakets to protect paint and brightwork
Hit extention end really hard with a large ball pein hammer, thereby twisting it in the seat tube.Should take no longer than an hour all up, no damage to paint, no nasty chemicals, no waiting.

Back in Straaaya I saw old Eric the swiss dude change a car tyre with levers and a mallet about as fast as a tyre machine. After seeing that I am convinced it's all in the technique.
I asked him how he got to know how to do it and he told me that he used to run a workshop in Onslow, Nth WA in the 60's. He'd have to travel out to stranded cars and trucks and get them going again, often he was there only hope the drivers would have of actually getting out of there.

There's a room in my house going at the moment. Around £530 pcm including all bills. It's a warehouse conversion between Manor House and Seven Sisters tube station.
Big place with friendly housemates. Pleanty of room for bikes and working on them. Im the only bike nut in the place so it'd be good to have someone to talk shop with once in a while.
PM me if yer interested.

I'll be doing some touring with my dad this summer so need something for 2 people. It weighs in at under 3 kg so not super light but has a huge porch area
Should mention that these are for triple chainring chainsets so 3/32 width required.
