Has anyone had a frame sandblasted, made up a stencil of the decal and put it in position, ran a blow torch over it (causing some discoloration of the metal) then clear coated. Would it work?
there is this guy 55/Rad that sandblasted a pinarello montello with the stickers then removed. The bike has been posted in every bike forum.

my experience with those neocube magnets. they fit snug in the 5mm seatpost clamp. They are a bit too small for the 6mm stem bolts and the seat bolts. you can pick them out with something small.
In my 5mm seatpost bolt you can push the ball bearing all the way in and this gives the allen key enough room to still fit in and turn the screw. so if the thief has the allen key to undo the seat post bolt then they don't work. Also I got mine pushed in all the way and now I can't get it out. I'm gonna get a big ass rare earth magnet and see if that can pull it out.the superglue is a way better way prevent theft.

In light of this, I think you should read this posting.
I've noticed lately that there are some people that always post here but also post at CTC forum, TT forum and Retro bike. These are regular posters with lots of nice, big lots of frames or mint vintage bikes and no one really says anything. Should I make a comment every time I notice that sales are being offered in other forums. Maybe if they are not offered on ebay or gumtree we should let them slide.

I wonder if you show up to see the bike if they would mug you.
I'm kind of tempted to call the number but I would be scared to show up solo. It might be just an old couple selling the bikes. I got my moulton for a bargain from this really nice old man an hour out of london. I wasn't worried because he is a regular on the CTC forum.
Those absolutely must be stolen. There's no way they're that price.
Wonder is they're are these:

this could be a good deal. 2 year old moultons for £300.

i wonder if the bike for sale is the bike in the pictures.

i got a question about chain length for my APB.
i have a 44 tooth chain ring which i want to REPLACE with 52 tooth
the chain atm is 58 links long.
does anyone know how much longer the new chain should be for the 52 tooth chainring?
oh, it has a 3 X 7 sachs hub with derailleur drive train.my qustion is more about hub gears affecting chain length. or do you have to compensate for them in any way.
using an online chain link calculator for my set up 52 28 with a 19 inch chain stay I get 60 inches. hope that works.
thanks -
I was looking for a 7 speed campag ergo shifter, too. I found these modolo brakes. you can set them up for 7 8 9 speed. lots of information on them on the net. they work a bit diff because you use your tumb to do both up and down shifting. people either love that or hate it because it hard to shift if you are riding on the hoods. If you are interested I know a guy that might sell you a set cheap.
