Should knock a few hundred off purely for the crimes against my eyes. At what point did they think orange hubs and spacers and brown bar tape were a good idea!
I have (and I’m about to sell) one of these but agree with the price estimates of the others despite the potentially nice wheels and saddle.

Was the price right? No.
Could I resist once I saw it in the flesh? No.
Does Stridsland Journal have a lot to answer for? Yes.Fun aspects I didn’t realise: stem is one with hidden internal routing, frame has internal routing for rear u-brake.
Less fun: clearance still looks a little tight for 2.3 at the rear. Original gt stem is almost too nice to replace with stumpy stem and higher rise bars.

Limited I believe. A-C?
For expensive, Wilde bike in the US have a carbon fork with utility cage mounts, 398 a-c etc.

Trying to resist buying a GT Tequesta that has come up locally. It’s the early 90s horizontal drop out, non mad paint version but does have the funky GT stem. The idea is to build it up single speed with parts I have to replace a Kona Hahaha that is geared and a little too big for me.
Am I mad? Am I asking this question in the wrong place?

I live in Toronto. The weather does change in big uniform blocks. If the hubs, rotors and cassette were identical (and used to a similar amount) then there should be zero faff swapping.
“Not many bikes feel great on two completely different tyres” is an interesting statement. If the bike is being ridden on different surfaces…why would that not be the case?

Fragile, but roll so delightfully nicely, decent enough grip and generally happy. However I did not pay full price so that helps. I’ll be fitting some wider Teravail Rutlands for the summer on this wheelset so it will be interesting to compare.
@Tijs very kind of your sir.

Ended up buying a rack, so that I can happily rock my bigxtop bar bag without klikfix. Wizard work bottle/snack pouch because water freezing is upsetting.
Still do so that I can ride through winter: 700x38c tyres on hunt wheelset with PDW guards.
Fitness low, but still just love how good this bike feels.
