I’m surprised you haven’t already found a broken frame to start tinkering on - make your own front triangle to match a salvaged rear?
Starling now (nearly) complete. All I want to do is ride it. My first proper full suspension (had a Marin with full suspension as a teen that was bottom of the range). I’m 5’10” (ish) which drops me between sizing. Went with the L over the M and I’m very glad I did. Shorter stem, with bars lowered will get me in the right position.
Proper geometry + functioning fork inspire such confidence. Rear shock definitely makes a difference on climbs. Body feels less beaten up overall. Now just need my fitness to come back…

Had a bit of a whoopsie. Planned to move all parts from my hardtail and that has not exactly what happened. Stupid cranks inbound as well.
It’s awesome. This is my first modern full suspension, first decent fork. It’s just better. Geometry and functioning components put such a big smile on the old face.
Posting because it climbs way better than my hardtail. At least that’s this impression after one ride!

You have 35 mm of spacers on your current bike I think? Reach is at top of headtube, so given headtube angle, adding spacers for a given stem length moves the bars towards you. Without info on your stem angle as well, it’s hard to give you the exact numbers.
The geometry there is saying 15 mm of spacers and and 80 mm stem would put you in the same position relative to your saddle as your current set up.

I still have two single speed bikes with shit brakes!
