Full backstory in the neighbours thread, but what is the process if someone just aggressively mowed a wildflower area when there were certainly still skylarks resident there a few days before? The area is notionally an area of communal land designated as a wildflower meadow but the neighbour in question took the unilateral decision to hire a tractor and flatten it all because it looks messy out of his window.
I should note that I don’t think prosecution in this case is either likely or proportionate but I am interested to know what the process is in case he continues to be a twat.

It’s a long race and skinny was several hours down after the first couple of days last year because of a tummy bug. I’d be surprised if he imagined himself being this far down before the race but he’s got depths of grit and determination I could never imagine. I wouldn’t count him out. He also seems very self motivated and driven by his own performance rather than his overall ranking. He’s a racer for sure but that race is with the best possible version of himself. I mainly just hope he manages to have fun and get all that he’s hoping for out of the race.

These are the ones my wife got me. It’s too soon to say whether they help but I think they are.

I have a case of plantar fasciitis and my wife bought me some soft insoles online. They came with the same "stepping on shit feeling" which she shared on her work whatsapp for the lols. Apparently, this is a direct translation of a genuine Chinese phrase for soft underfoot.
Makes me smile every time I wear the insoles though :)

I don't know if this has anything to do with Ben Healey's decision, but in triathlon, Lucy Charles Barclay has recently struggled with Brexit rules that limit the amount of time she can spend in the Schengen zone without a visa. She used up most of her time with a couple of big blocks of training and then almost had to skip a race as a result. An Irish passport would solve all those kinds of issues.

This turned out to be a pretty helpful post… thank you.
I went out to re-check the cassette and it has 11sp printed all over it. I count the sprockets and find there are only 10, causing me to scratch my head until I find the missing sprocket hiding another bike. 🤷♂️
Mystery averted, no need for new shifters… just some cables and I’m done.
Ouch!
