that lip looks square not chamfered
Just checked the actual bike and it is chamfered so thankfully makes things easier.
have you asked the person you purchased it from.?
Obvious suggestion, I have now!
can you find the manufacturers/frame details off the net..?
Manufacturer is Concorde and they seem pretty hard to track down on the internet, so no luck there.
Thanks for all the suggestions

Thread dredge.
I've just bought this frame and need some headset advice. I know I need a 1 1/8" thread-less headset but I'm getting a bit bogged down in the different types and what exactly I need.
I've read the Chris King link above and understand that integrated headsets are evil, but my reading is that you cannot install "conventional" thread-less headsets into headtubes that have been designed for use with integrated headsets. Is this right, and if it is how do I know which sort of headset my frame requires?

From the ledges inside the headtube I think I do need an integrated headset. The next question is which one?
Are headsets MTB/Road specific or am I right in thinking that any 1 1/8" headset will do?
To What extent do I need to consider stack height etc?
How much will does the quality of the headset affect the handling/longevity of the bike?
While I'd love to buy the Chris king headset I'm not spending more on the headset than I did on the frame! This bike is going to be my only geared road bike and as such will be used for 90% of my training in all weathers. I therefore want something decent, durable, but that won't break the bank. Using NOS I'm currently on to spend about £450 for the full SRAM rival build not including wheels (which I already have plenty of).
Cheers, any suggestions much appreciated.

I bet he's the mechanic.
Ha... not quite. My mechanic-ing skills extend as far as assembling my own bikes but I wouldn't trust myself with (a) my nice bikes or (b) anyone else' s life.
designed [for the] clueless and moronic hipster market
Good fixed bikes are generally made by companies who already make bikes because fixed bikes are just bikes, not some new fantastic fashion breakthrough.
This works for me, thank you. Probably also helps to be italian and expensive.
[clicks over to classifieds to buy an italian frame to fit in]

Maybe I've not been around long enough, but has anyone ever started up a new fixed bike company to rapturous acclaim from the forum?
We have Unicack/create/Foffa/Caramel who all get slated. I've got no idea whether any of them are any good or not, I've never ridden any of them and from the look of their websites I'm not even slightly tempted.
Anyway, was just wondering if any new companies had sprung up to be met with reviews like:
"wow, that is a really well conceived frame, well put together with decent components. Yes it's cheap, yes its heavy, yes its OTP, no I wouldn't personally want one, but given the price thats a pretty good deal. Well done!"
I guess it would help if the ad campaign had people looking where they were riding.

Yes, O -> C is definitely on the to do list.
Don't know how to embed maps but here is the GPS track of a 100mile jolly round the Cotswolds I did a couple of weeks ago. All on quiet lanes and through some beautiful villages.

This is the GPS track of our actual route so includes a small detour to a local coop and one or two minor mistakes where we doubled back on ourselves but it'll give you the gist.

1) Are there any cycling clubs that organize rides or small graded races?
If your into TTing, then lots around - this list has alot of them but I think there are also a few others.

season coming to a close now but there will be a new list for next year. -
bugger... accidentally deleted everything.
Actually based in Geography, although working closely with one of the groups in Zoology. Slight soft spot for the Zoo building though as I my dad had an office there so I can remember running away to explore the corridors when I was very young. The whole building still has exactly the same smell it had 15-20 years ago!
I'll be at Oriel, having been there for an MSc 07-08 I wasn't sure they'd take me back but it seems they will. :)
Do you mean the fancy new BIochem building off behind the geography?

Short answer:
Wildlife Conservation
Slightly longer answer:
How can international climate change policies aimed at reducing rates of deforestation be implemented to provide both the biggest reductions in CO2 emissions, and the maximum co-benefits to wildlife conservation (specifically big cats). The way things are looking at the moment I'll be focussing on Clouded Leopards in Sabah and possibly parts of China as a case study.
I can't wait!

He's a winner up until the end.
I'm pretty sure I've seen these guys joking around for real, never doing anything amazing like that but scoping some smaller jumps and runs... still massively impressive!
It's a good job I moved away from cambridge, for 6 months my bike was racked up on the bike rack he hops at 50seconds!

Cheers, largely confirms what I thought.
The other forum was TriTalk ... [hangs head in shame] yes, I am a triathlete [/hangs head in shame].

Maybe I should have spent all my money on a spotting scope instead of the disc. I'll have my bins with me anyway.
