If it's a trad. cup and separate axle design,then no, It won't do any damage if you do it properly.

I've only been a mechanic for ....30 years.

Remove the right hand crank and bottom bracket cup.

Find a vice, hold the RHS of the bottom bracket shell onto the slightly open jaws of the vice.

Next, find a large punch and a large hammer.

Finally, hammer through the BB axle - should come off in 2 or 3 blows.

JOB DONE.

Yeap, take it back to the shop.

They can investigate it and fingers crossed its just cable tension cuz that quicker than warranty!

Tiagra had a warranty issue - funny, we sent one back and got another faulty one in return!!! Pure coincidence! Wasn't aware of 105.

Bare in mind, it can take up to 2 weeks for Madison/Shimano to deem it as warranty, the shop will need to send the lever back and it just takes time.

I'm sure the shop will want to help in the best way possible.

SRAM/Shimano to use with Campag drive chain yes, the other way round not found anything yet.

However, with some campag wheels you can change the freehub body to a shimano/sram spline - you will need to contact Campag direct and indicate which wheels you have to see if they can supply the part.

UK distributor only has crankset with 49t available - any use? 130bcd so no probs finding a 48t to fit.

If you tell us the name of the hub and name of the rim I'm sure one of can check the spoke lengths for you.

Doesn't matter what you change, you will need to check the spoke lengths.

They are elasticated at the back and I have a little head feels great! Stev's head is well, average? and he has no compaints either.

The elasticated band is wide so doesn't cut of circulation, comfortable!

Soma Everwears are built for skidding!

You could also go for a odd numbered chainring on the front as this would then put the skid marks in different places on the rear - Soma do a 47t, there maybe others out there if your BCD doesn't suit.
