The team radio is up here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7980602.stm
from the sounds of things Hamilton was hardly trying to stitch Trulli up. He did say that he had already let Trulli past him but that was before the team confirmed that they wanted him too. Also as I understand it, when Trulli went off the track, he was no longer in the race so Hamilton's pass was valid. The fact that Hamilton then let Trulli back through should not be a valid pass, as it was under the safety car and Lewis didn't have a problem, regardless of the fact that Hamilton let him through. So personally I think the Stewards should have promoted Lewis to 3rd and demoted Trulli to 4th. None of this silly penalty of 25 seconds for Trulli (about the time penalty caused by a 10sec stop and go) and not DQ'ing Lewis. However by the sounds of things Hamilton and Maclaren were not entirely truthful with the Stewards at the enquiry which is ultimately pretty stupid. It looks like someone has been suspended for this though http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7981303.stm .
In other news from the practices today, the Williams were fastest in the 1st session ahead of the Brawns and then the Ferraris. Ferraris fastest in the 2nd and Red Bull were up there too. Also Kimi had some fun with his KERS which didnt look too pleasant.
So looks like the Ferrari have caught up with the others / their car is more suited to the Kuala Lumpur than Albert Park, and Toyota seem to be struggling a bit more. Hopefully it will be a good race at the weekend. -

Or a bit of wet and dry on a screw driver and take out the paint overspray.
I had a similar problem with a frame - worked out in the end that the seatpost wasn't perfectly round at the bottom and this was causing the problems. Cut off a couple of cms - leaving loads left to go in the frame and it went in fine. -

You sure you are not mismatching Italian/english/french threads ? Bicycle ambulance have the technology dude. Andy is by far the best mechanic /wheel builder in cambs .....fact . Don't be put off by their humble premises they are into their bikes not £'s . Rick and Andy have both been fixing bikes for decades , they now work for themselves .
Word. Bicycle ambulance did indeed have the stuff to do it. Andy put the bb in for me. feeling a bit bad as it was a complete pig of a job. The threads in the shell broke the taps he was using to clean them out with as the seat stays protruded a bit too far into the bb shell. Then the bb axle was too short for the cranks despite being nominally the right length, so that was swapped for another one. Bought him a couple of beers to day sorry tho...

Sorry for the slow reply, been without internet for a couple of days.
Frame is a Diamant (Belgian one, not the East-german variety). Think my current plan is to take it to BA on tuesday and see if they can sort it. Otherwise I'll give you a PM retro, not sure when I will next be able to come to london but hopefully I could make the trip soonish

Yep positive its italian - 70mm shell, both sides are right hand threaded diameter to inner edge of the threads is 35mm with a ruler no calipers to put on it. The cups are also def italian and both take to the threads on both sides - just not much. Frame has never has a bb in it so there is loads of paint in the threads - 1st full revolution on the driveside is cleared out. Suppose the threads could be the wrong pitch though hmmm....
Will give Rick / Andy a shout on tues I guess, Rick put the headest in as I dont have a press in Cam. Was more just assuming they don't have the italian taps as they can't be used very much

Tried to put a cup and cone bb into a NOS frame tonight. Driveside cup went in a tiny amount and a little bit more - 3/4 turn using a suitable spanner, going really gently - well copper greased etc. Anyway spanner slipped off and i knocked the cup out the frame leaving a bit of the cup thread in the bb shell. Balls. Cleaned that out but I really want to get it done properly - face the shell and have someone cut all the paint out the threads.
Does anyone know any shops / people capable of doing this in / near Cambridge? Have tried Ben Hayward and Light Blue Cycles, and assuming Bicycle Ambulance don't have the taps to cut the threads as they are really expensive. Alternatively any shops in london that would be capable of this.
Cheers, Al

Spesh S-works tarmac?
Nope, not a time.
I'll promise I'll confirm tomorrow or Friday once I've played out the mental game of can I really spend that much on a frame, then decided with a resounding YES that it'll be worth it in the long run. Besides I need to buy something special just so it lives up to the wheelset and brakes that I've already bought.

which is why snipers are good. people get excited by bidding and bid on auctions that already have lots of bids, almost regardless of price. Set a sniper to the max you will pay and just watch it. they cant play with your max bid and it will either go in and you win, or someone wanted it more than you and you dont win - but people don't have time to react to your bid
