And, they have Rome bindings.
Again, it seems that the brand itself is dumping their old season. If the new season will be called 10 that is.
Amazon.com: Rome 390 09 Men's Hard Snowboard Bindings - Black / White: Sports & Outdoors
Amazon.com: Rome Shift 09 Men's Hard Snowboard Bindings - Medium - Black / White: Sports & OutdoorsFair enough, in the price range I am browsing, they look fairly spartan though.... Can't object to the snugness of Relay Pros, but way out of my budget this season I am afraid.

But, the relays don't have capstraps do they?
Anyhow, I've spotted how american amazon seems to be a dumping ground for surplus stock. They even sell 08 stuff there.
Relays on sale there too, but not sure what is what. The silver and white ones would fit the colours scheme of my board.

Those police horse vehicles are bad enough in an brutish HGV kind of way, but when I closed up behind one at a red light just now I saw that horse piss was pouring out from below the double doors at the back. Looked like enough to fill buckets. Obviously I didn't stay and take it in for long as I realised a sudden gush of wind would have me covered in a spray of piss.
Only solution I could think of was to cane it to the front and across the red light in front of the old bill. They probably weren't out to bother cyclists anyway.

the brick lane boys seems to have gotten hold of a fg/ss again.
didn't get up close but spotted a green frame, I think it's a road frame, without decals. silver drop and seatpost. the drops have brown leather bartape a la brooks. the seat is black or possibly a dark tanned brooks? the headset has some black in it and the seatstays are black as far as I can see.
anyone?

... just training to be honest, general fitness, aiming to break myself each and every time I hit the mat, ...
if you max out when you work weights etc (that's how I interpreted it at least) don't you find you get more clumsy when doing MMA? having stiff muscles and all?
I suppose stretching does a lot for you, but any other tips? -
Silly, but there is about three threads going at the same time roughly discussing the same stuff:
Leather hand grips:
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread27985.html
DIY toe straps:
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread27031.htmlThen it's this one about saddles.

Who here knows about leather?
Further to the excellent stuff done so far in this thread, has anyone ever tried to extend this to having the same leather on handlebars and toestraps as well? Partly to save dosh, but also because it might look really nice to have the same stuff all over the bike. Simplest question first; where do I buy it?
What kind of leather would you reccommend? I suppose there might be a problem with the seat requiring quite thin leather while the toestraps should ideally be as thick as possible. Perhaps the leathersupplier can do several thicknesses/qualities in the same dye? If anyone has actually done this, what kind of tool did you use for the stiching bit? I remember seeing a step by step guide online before, but can't find it now. Lastly, what stuff to treat the leather with -if at all?

I am taking the liberty to hijack this one, since the issue seems to be solved but the headline fits my question.
Cranks on my current build unscrew themselves somehow and start creaking. This goes away with a bit of fastening with an allen key and everything is nice and smooth again. They loosen only if I skid hard, but if I do, they can loosen quite a bit actually.
Oh, perhaps worth mentioning I'm a cheapskate, shimano UN-54 and stronglight crankset - part of the problem might lie there really. My question is: for the new build I have in the pipeline, how can I absolutely make sure I avoid this stupid problem? Does anyone know of a some golden combinations of BB and crankset which can handle a bit of skidding? And presuming I'll have to pay more for this, what is the improvement I am really paying for? Are there any other things to keep in mind?
