This time we are going to go to the Glendene Cycle Jumble at Navestock

The event starts at 9 .30 so we will need to leave Whipps Cross at 8.15 or 8 .30 to get there for the start.

Its usually good for bargains, tea ,cake and bacon sandwiches. Its especially good for nuts , bolts, ferrules and other fittings that shops don't usually stock or even know what you are asking for.

We should be back by 1pm , depending on how much you buy. Its about an hour to Navestock from E10.

Buffalo Shirts do do it all .

That was the idea of the ride, ie a steady climb out of London to the Essex Plateau that would suit a SS or a fixed. Thinking about it, I probably first did that ride 20 years ago when I was the only fixed in East London.

It's not Gary, it's a massive urban myth that other European countries drink in a more 'civilised' fashion.

Others drink as much or more than us . They do consume differently and the harm caused appears in different ways .

Perhaps Matching Green was a village too far, though we did seem to dawdle through the lanes on our way to . Next time we could do the same route but go to Moreton and not Matching Green

We could then come back via Ongar and Toot Hill. Any way, I ll plan for another one next month and certainly a ride to the Glendene Jumble, when ever that is.

I don't know why some of you obsess with the SA fixed hubs

As I understand it the originals were unreliable and sound like they had the same problems as the 4 speed on the F Frame Moultons.

Google Maps say's it's 20 miles from Walhamstow to Matching Green

So that's 40 miles all together.
