Clay is awful. There’s a riding area that I go that has some red clay and it’s a skating rink with any moisture. As close to black ice as it gets.

Racing has changed. I recall seeing people sprawled all over the paddock at Brands back in the day. Often in various states of disrepair after sessions at the Kentagon on Saturday night. (Club Racing, natch.)

Works OK for my chum, running full size lathe and a Bridgeport mill. (Admittedly not at the same time.)

Should be fine with the right specs, they don’t run all the time, just when the machines are running.

Could still get a rotary phase converter. My mate’s shop has one. Noisy but works fine.

Speaking of guarding...this was at the park the other day. He sat himself at the table and didn’t take his eyes off the wean. As it was getting dark he sprinted off to chase a couple of coyotes that came sniffing around. As much as he doesn’t like the nipper to make a fuss of him, he does keep a good lookout!

Yeah I'd second that. My aunt had working JRTs and they were great but feisty, one of them was decidedly nippy with strangers. They can be a lot of dog in a small package. Boston terriers are incredibly trendy / popular where we are - poor little buggers. I'd avoid all brachycephalic breeds.

I've an RC-3 that I've barely used. The annoying thing about it is the double tap to stop recording.

I've also not figured out how to adjust the various track levels. Likely my failing rather than the device....It does pack a lot in a small box.
