I’ve got better at welding brackets to thinner wall tube. If you use a slightly larger filler rod than usual for the tube thickness, you can take some heat out of the puddle with a quick dip just as it starts to pool. Saves having to swap tips and dig out the brazing rod.
These are spring clips made from 3/32 rod, welded to 20ga. Works just as well on 22ga. I’ve not tried it on anything thinner, so might still be an issue on the thinnest butted sections of bike tubing.

If they've got the stock caps, they're not the cartridges. That said, the K-tech emulator things they flog are frigging ace too. I had them in my last GSXR and they're very good. Sounds a sweet deal.
I've got a big billet of Magnesium in the shed, likely big enough for 3-4 sets of yokes but everyone I know is too chicken to machine it. I'd love a set done up with DOW7.
@chak - should work fine mate, they're all about the same size. I want to say mine is a 19mm? Good firm feel. I had to splurge and get a new RCS14 for my RS125 recently as yoy can't find small, remote reservoir MCs secondhand. It was 240 inc shipping and taxes and a bit ouch considering my previous bargains...The box felt quite special though.

Sweet - are they the full K-tech cartridges? If so, totally dope. I love K-tech stuff.
@chak Might not be the same in your manor, but crashed Ducs are a-plenty out here. Makes for some good ebay Brembo MC bargains. Nearly all the high end models post the 1198 have radial MCs. I think the one on my GSXR came from a Hyperstrada SP....works great anyways.

Don't know what your budget is like, but KDX220s are worth a look - they're really good!
More money, KTM 200exc or any of the European enduro bikes.Avoid the crossers, they can make good trail bikes, but the gearing isn't ideal, the suspension is all wrong and the power is explosive, even with flywheel weights and a fatty pipe.

The wristiest sportsbike I've ever ridden, small but dense and very heavy steering....I've had a good few goes on my mates and didn't gel with it. The engine feels a bit flat and you need to keep them on the boil to make any progress. My old 900ss strolls away from it.
I'd love a go on an 848, I bet a few extra cubes makes all the difference. -

@MrBaklava Possibly wait until a few nice days of spring but if you’re looking for a dynamic experience, I’d flog it and get something newer / lighter. All those 70s Japanese 4s are a bit ponderous and not the most engaging to ride. Lovely to look at, sound great but uninspiring in the saddle.
Morocco trip sounds ace! Get some sand riding practice in before you head or you’ll be miserable and fall off a lot for the first day or so. Sand is great fun but it’s very different to ride on.
That's awesome mate. I think it's actually a Yamaha TD2 (chain is on the right and the green plate is for 250.) Super rare and one of the precursors of the TZ series. Check out the 4LS front brake!
