Comes with a hutchinson 22mm gumwall tyre. Looks in decent nick but i'm not sure it holds air. I can glue a newish conti giro on though.

all that was in the parts box unfortunately. I want to run a quill but my bars are OS as I like compact drops.

Good to go, couple of tweeks and I'll have to see if the epoxy on the cracked rim holds up but it rides real smooth and looks okay I reckon.

Built geoff up again.

I had a SAB frame which I'd planned to build but the woman who sold it to me failed to mention it was "unfinished" as in, it had no braze on mounts and the bb shell hadn't been chased and faced. So I sacked it and bought this rather fetching 531 Pug. I've stripped it and after a fruitful trip to the Manchester velodrome cycle jumble picked up most the bits to build it. Just waiting on a few bits which seem to out of stock everywhere, mainly an inner plate for the 5700 rear mech and some cable downtube guides.

The only problem is the quill stem was stuck so I cut the top off and it's soaking in caustic soda, I had success removing a bb from a ribble I had this way (my original winter bike) which was stolen from my yard.

The wheels are a planet x superlight rear and an alex front wheel, The rear was a dud bought at the jumble, I foolishly didn't check the bearings which were shot at and the rim looks like it's cracked. However planet x kindly found me a spare hub to pillage and I'm going to used metal epoxy on the crack and hope for the best. It'll have mostly 5700 group with 5600 brakes and and a 5500 crank with ten speed rings, I kind of like the idea of mixing old and new. Think I've spent £150 so far, biggest bargains being the shifters for £20 and alot of bits from when I worked in a bike shop, tyres etc.
