The 10th edition of the award winning London Nocturne will once again hit the streets of the City of London bringing the best crit racing and the biggest street party to the heart of the capital.
An action packed race programme will run from the afternoon into the night around the exciting new race circuit bringing a mix of elite and amateur racing - crowd favourties such as the Folding Bike Race and Penny Farthing Race will be a prelude to the male and female elite criteriums where riders including Olympic Champions and Tour de France stars will battle for glory through the darkness... and it's not just about the racing as all the bars and restaurants that line the streets of Square Mile combine with the Nocturne music and entertainment to create a street party that continues into the night. The Nocturne Circuit
The new finish straight will be located along Cheapside with St Pauls Cathedral as the back drop. At 1.5km the course is almost 400m longer than Smithfield and the finish straight is over double the length - however, it is not totally suited to the fast finishers with a technical section at the far side around Guildhall. The good news for spectators is that it will be much easier to access and move around the course. St Pauls tube is located right on the finish line with exits on either side of the finish line. At the other end of the finish straight Bank station is only a few hundred metres away and major rail links (Cannon Street, City Thamslink, Blackfriars) are only a 5 minute walk away.
There will be several expo areas including a special kids area (more on this soon)... and plenty of bars and restaurants to keep the party going including One New Change located right on the finish line - http://www.onenewchange.com
For participants we will have a new and improved rider paddock located on the final corner at the end of the finish straight. With new facilities, rider bar and entertainment this will be the place to kick back before and after your race - more details will be available soon...

Bainbridge the choice is massive and engineered flooring can be as expensive if not more than solid flooring it depends on the thickness of the top layer. Engineered wood can though be better than solid as it does not move as much. Laminate flooring is always crap as it says on the tin it is only a laminate often thinning than you would get on a kitchen unit

@Dammit sorry I could not find @wildwest 's comment but it is the Building Regulations not the fire regulations approved document J what you have done looks great but I would be a little weary of putting a wood burning stove in where there was a coal open fire. Have you had the chimney cleaned?

@hoefla only just saw your post was in yesterday but hadn't planned to and no one when I got there but next week will be there

Sorry if it is one external wall I was interpreting your plan.
Even with one cold wall if you are generating steam it is unlikely that any extraction system will be able to remove the vapour fast enough to stop a proportion of of the vapour condensing on the wall and generating mould and damp. Replacement air for the air extracted will need to come from somewhere if it is outside then it will be cold and also maybe damp. All I was saying was look at your alternatives before spending £200 on core drilling. Have you looked at reducing the steam you shower makes by choosing a different shower head also could put a bigger radiator in the bathroom would cost more in fuel bills but you might still spend less than £400 over 20 years. -
@Silly_Savage you seem to be addressing the symptom and not the problem and spending a lot of money to do it. The reason you have a problem in that bathroom is that you have three external walls which if the building is Victorian are probably 9" solid brick (so no need for specialist core driller) which provides little or no insulation. You need to address this before spending lots on extractor fans. Also if you are replacing the window go for triple glazed wood Rationel do excellent ones

The role of women in Iranian society -- where they are treated as inferior citizens and do not enjoy the political and social freedoms common to their sisters in the West -- provides the subtext for this three-part anthology feature.
