I think another issue with the polished metal ones is 'bar scratch fail', even during installation, where they recommend wedging the stem clamp open to combat the constant diameter...

I've ridden a Plug (standard), interestingly tight, makes for responsive handling (or 'twitchy', depending on what you're used to). Quite confortable though

If anyone's got a fixed rear wheel they wanna get rid of, bring it down as well, I might have to wheel my bike down to the C+H (only about 1/2 mile) on a ruined tyre, just so you lot can laugh at its general mismatched fail. :)

Actually, detail update, can be 27" if you must, but I'd need a tyre and tube as well then cos I aint got none knocking around in 27...

from what I can see in the clip it's one of those half link chains which have a slightly different profile on one side like this:

So I'm thinking he might have put it on the other way around and something could be rubbing as the links articulate around the rear cog - just a thought.
