That's shocking. 11 quid is basically supermarket prices even if that was a balanced set of meals, which obviously it isn't. I know it's hard to feed a person on 11 quid for 5 meals but surely there's got to be better options.

I have a monitor with two USB-C ports (and a bunch of USB3) so I use one for thunderbolt to the macbook for power/video and then attach other peripherals via either usb or another hub. Backup drive also plugged into monitor on the 2nd usb-c port. Tidied up my desk a lot.

I use one that plugs directly into the ports; I found the dangly ones to be a bit unpredictable unless my laptop was on the desk rather than a stand and in the end I got a short that blew the power adapter on the motherboard. Apple replaced it but it was a pain in the arse.

To get this back on track, the rules are sufficiently vague that you could make anything out of them. The UK government needs to be clearer about what they mean but it's easier to produce a list without any refinement than actually be precise. Where I live, "pure play" dry cleaners are shut, launderettes are open, anyone who does both is open too (for now).

Wonder how feasible it'd be to close a bunch of tube stations to all but NHS/Police/Fire workers etc and then have special trains running between those. They'd still be together which is a risk but a lower one than throwing in all the other people who are working for whatever reason.

I wasn't making any comment about launderettes for that reason; and a dry cleaner with a service wash is a launderette to a certain extent. I just find the idea that dry cleaning is essential peculiar and no amount of chippy commenting is likely to change that.

I dunno about you but whilst I'm keeping my clothes clean I also don't think it's the moment to break out my best suit that needs dry cleaning rather than the stuff I own that I can throw in my washing machine.
