Isn't the anti-malarial that Trump mentioned also associated with some fairly nasty side effects in some cases. I seem to have read something about potential blindness, heart failure or coma as being an issue if wrongly used.

Get off your high horse. You seem to be intent on making this some kind of class war when I said nothing about launderettes so obviously I understand why people would use one.
To get this back on track, the rules are sufficiently vague that you could make anything out of them. The UK government needs to be clearer about what they mean but it's easier to produce a list without any refinement than actually be precise. Where I live, "pure play" dry cleaners are shut, launderettes are open, anyone who does both is open too (for now).
