I think the issue is that most of the "big tech" platforms gained revenue from republishing (with attribution) news articles. So the news orgs weren't getting views on their ads and therefore were doing the work without the revenue. The same sort of law passed in Australia and Meta pulled all news for a bit (including emergency info) before backing down and doing deals with the publishers. Same will happen here.

Was talking to a guy who runs a bus company here. He said that the problem with electric buses is outside cities they're pretty complex to run (and not that straightforward in cities for that matter). He's replacing his diesel buses but for each of those he needs 2 or 3 electric buses as the recharge time is "not trivial" even compared to cars and if you're out in the sticks, you need get back to a proper charging location (not the local public charging point like cars). He said that hydrogen fuel cells are better but the buses are 2-3 times as much to buy (think he said over 1M euros but I might be misremembering).
Even charging infrastructure for cars and motos in a Grand Tour will be problematic, let alone that for buses.

Maybe the UCI needs to do x-rays of complete bikes. But that would be slow and expensive. In the meantime perhaps we could have a video analysis widget to autodetect acceleration when seated.
They did. https://www.bicycling.com/news/a20049889/uci-xray-machine-motor-doping/

I don't travel that much for work, but when I do it's a mess of paper invoices, electronic stuff etc and I just spent 2 hours sorting out the last few months. What's the go-to app for this crap now? I've used expensify in the past but it seems a bit pricy when my experience with it was that the "automatic" scanning of invoices rarely worked well.
