I wasn't sure of the price in the UK I couldn't find any for sale online. I'm not out to make a profit... just pass on some stuff I have no use for at the moment... and try and get some money back.

It's on ebay with a reduced price. AU$65 + $20 post worldwide... I think that's about 40 quid incl postage.

I have an Ultegra Seat Post SP-6600 27.2 250mm for sale.

Still in it's box... didn't even mount it. I bought it for a build project and the smooth, silky sliver didn't match the chrome look on the rest of the shiny parts (fusssssy!)... so it's on the block.

£40 including registered post worldwide.

Got PayPal and if you feel more comfortable I'll stick it on ebay (samba! 149 100%) as a private sale (no extra).

I'm not sure what these sell for in the UK. I couldn't find any online (didn't look very hard) but if £40 is way out let me know.

Just got this pic from a mate. More a crash than a close call. He is (white jersey) OK.

Taxi driver's fault (he locked himself in the car), did right turn in front of my mate and who hit him head on and smashed the windscreen with his head. Not a scratch... lucky!

Rear wheel is a write-off, major scratches to a STI lever and a slightly buckled front wheel.... but frame and drivetrain unharmed.

Not a close call as a collision occurred but I ended up in the Canal this morning on the way to work,
body,bag and bike all went in. I don't have accidents with cars just other cyclists.
My phone is dead and the other guys front wheel is now in 4 pieces things could have been alot worse. The guy was a Exenger and was cool we pass each other every day.

4 large leeks, 1 onion, 2 medium potatoes

Fry onion till brown (use butter) add chopped leeks till transparent the chopped spuds and cover with hot water

variations include the use of 3 leeks, addition of fenugreek, chives or add feta cheese at the end to let it melt.

the best i have ever had was butternut squash, ameraetto and truffle oil. haven't got time to write it out but you got enough time to trial by error it.

with all soups serve with** really thick slabs or crispy** bread.. its this bit that really makes it ;)

Angry Red Lentil Tortilla Soup
serves four

4 6" flour tortillas
4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 C onions, minced
1/2 C carrots, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 Habanero pepper or a few red chilies, minced
1 Cup red lentils
4 Cups water
2 tbsp dry chives (homemade)
Cheese, grated
Lime wedges
salt & fresh-ground pepper to taste

Leave tortillas out a few days at room temperature to allow them to dry out and become crisp.
Place saucepan on the stove on medium to medium high heat.
Olive oil goes in pan.
Sauté onion, carrot, garlic and pepper/chillies until it caramelises in the pan.
Add your red lentils and toast for a half minute or so.
Add the water and cover the saucepan with the lid.
Cook the soup for 15 minutes, stirring three times to keep the lentils from sticking then add salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste. Mash lightly.
Rip up the tortillas and place in the bottom of a serving bowl or cup.
Place your soup over the tortillas and garnish with the chives and cheese and a wedge of lime.

I commuter race all the time. The trick is to find a roadie and blast past him at a million miles an hour and see if he/she takes the bait. I have a 99.9999% hook up rate cos I'm a chunky monkey (plus I'm getting on a bit) so they think "no gears, fat man... gittim"

I can only keep a decent pace (+/-45km) up for a kilo and a bit so if they're strong I make a pit stop and walk into a shop or something before the catch up.... never let them pass you :)))))

Got a midnight call from a friend last night (her close call not mine). She crashed her car into a bus load of.... wait for it..... policemen :OOO She called from her car just after it happened. I could hear her cops banging on the car shouting at her to open the door.... she was totally in shock... spent the night with her at the cop shop.
