Hello everyone,
Us lot in Cambridge are having a tournament on Saturday 4th July. I just thought I'd post it up here in case a bunch of people didn't check the main forum.
Details are here...

Obviously it's pretty far from Manchester but we're trying to sort out some accomodation if people need it.
Anyway, sorry to spam your forum! Get in touch!

Right, so after a few early mistakes and **SO MANY **date changes, the people of Cambridge are proud to be hosting a polo tournament on **Saturday 11th July 2009 . **
Depending on team numbers it's going to be the same format as the Oxford tournament the other week. The court we are using is very similar...

and is located here (with route from Cambridge train station)...
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2841823Trains from London run from Liverpool Street or Kings Cross. If coming from Liverpool Street you can alternatively get off at Great Shelford (south-east of the court on the map).
We're looking into accommodation for people who will need it. If people stay the night, we have throw-ins on Sundays as well at another court.
Please post in this thread or send a PM if you can/will/want to play. Also, send over a PM if you think you'll need accommodation for the night.
This should be really fun and hopefully a lot of people can make it.
Thanks,
All of Cambridge -

I've been seeing a bunch of folk on them fixed wheel bicycles from my work window recently. In the last two days I've seen a guy on a stock fuji track with added helmet, about three red conversions (popular colour I guess) and a whole gaggle of Unipack riders. Red/Black and Blue/Yellow seem to be the in colours.

I finally got through to someone at the council regarding the trumpington court. The court is definitely not for hire and is free to use. He said that, as he was sure we were aware, it's for everyone and so we could use it and hope no kids come down to try and kick us off. He did also say that it is quite a 'low usage' court as well.
Point of interest - those courts are called MUGAs (Multi-Use Gaming Area). That's pronounced 'mugger'. Needless to say, when he referred to the Trumpington court as such, I did a little chuckle.
