Someone remarked on facebook that standing behind the goals was silly. But that person didn't get to witness Badger flying towards them, smashing through the net and immediately asking if it was a goal... Funniest/scariest moment of the tournament.
There was a camera on the goal - hopefully it comes out.

What do you mean Dan
it's not for me? If it`s not for you then it's not for me either :-PJust thouhgt of going to tournaments (sort of as much as I can) and playing playing playing..... :-)
Nothing in particular - it's more that London tournaments are a bit of a ballache for me because my friends all live in the boonies there. And I have plans on the weekends either side of it.
Definitely go to as many tournaments as you can - best way to get better (apart from staying on-trend, obvs) and fun too.

Thanks Bristol for a mega-fun tournament.
Peregrine's spirit and Cam's amazing shots won over the crowd in the last few games but Mondial were so calm and in control all weekend. Great to see open and attractive polo dominating all weekend, right up to the final. So few teams are turtling!
Slippy court was great to spectate, but heartbreaking to see people slip out when just about to shoot a one-on-one. Big shots were obviously the way to go...
Big up to Pique and Landslide - great teamies even though our results weren't great.

I hate to be the dick who sticks his nose into other people's tournaments, but draws really suck in so many ways - players, spectators, ranking teams... I don't know enough about formatting, but would it be fairer to do 4 rounds without draws? If there's time, you could do a 5th round, if not, start elimination or do throw-ins?
In my experience (been to many tournaments, but admittedly only helped organise one...) banning golden goal doesn't really save much time - it's teams dawdling before and after games or players calling for a 5-minute mechanical timeout when they're 4-0 up and there's 30 seconds left and they could just go and sit in goal.
Could a compromise be a maximum of 3/4/5 minutes overtime, but keep golden goal?

Nice ride tonight with 5 people. Sorry joshb and renton, I switched to text message with off-forum people and then more joined later.
Text message might be the best way to go for this, so if you want you can PM me your numbers.
Gonna try again next week - not sure whether to go Monday or Tuesday night. Probably see what the weather looks like and feel how tired I am after the weekend.

Wotcha want? Gators are in good nick and wired, kojaks are pretty good, one wired, one folding, wired is pretty much like new.
Gazump! Dibs on the wired one if it's 1.35" and quite cheap. Or you want to exchange for a 1" folding Hutchinson
And here's me with ugly big ones. Le sigh.
Is this primarily a dad joke or a grammar joke? Pretty good either way.

I think if Dan's rack can fit three bikes he might be able to oblige - i assume i'll take all the Stirchleyites and Dan can do Kings Heath and Moseley?
So that means Vicky and Monty with me?
Watch out - Monty doesn't pay for petrol. #Cambridge2012 #whydidasimleave?
Monty has a reputation - CASH UPFRONT, £10 please... If I have to ask twice, price rises to £15. £1 penalty for each hour thereafter. #don'tmakemeleaveyouinbristol
