Current costs are circa £3,300 per year, approx £275 per month. Circa, approx... because of currency rates mostly.
Well come on on then, you have my vote VB, you need to cover costs and that is what will have to happen.
You've provided a service I use every day and for the price of a beer I think that covering the cost of it, for all the daily users, should be a no brainer.
You're right, I haven't read through the thread all the way through, mainly because I'm in a lecture on the phone.
You've made the debate in any case which is a damn sight better than most forum managers would have done. -
I have to say I agree with Harry. I Will happily pay up to help cover costs of the forum, but can we know what the costs are, and go forward in a level headed manner. The best thing about this forum is that it brings a sense of cohesion to a large group of people who often don't know each other. Why not use this as an example of how to manage investment? I'm sure that Vb, no one wishes you to be out of pocket, and a bit of payback here and there certainly wouldn't go amiss, of course., but yeah, I think it would spoil slightly the ethos of the forum if we all knew that there was a large amount of profit being made.
That said, if £3 is the amount 1000 of us need to pay to cover the costs, I will happily stump up straight away. -
