Anyone else get stopped today?
I got stopped twice within about 300 metres - once for jumping a light that had just switched from amber to red at the junction of Clerkenwell Road and Theobalds Road and then a couple of seconds later at the next junction trying to ride a bus only lane (didn't realise) on the way to New Oxford st. Fairly nice coppers all things considered - whole malarky about 'if i catch you next time' etc etc and only one small piece of rhetoric about scraping me off the floor with a fork unless I wore full hi-vis... No fine either.Saw a fella try and bomb away from the first lot - only to get stopped by some of their colleagues down the road - As I rode past he was getting handcuffed. Only a little disappointed I wasn't wearing my 'Thou - Smoke Pigs' shirt....

[QUOTE=slaytanic1;379025]paul smith was a keen cyclist actuallyQUOTE]
He rode for Beeston RC - my local team, my friends dad rode with him for a good while. Good Nottingham bloke, fair play - although i do agree that the PS/ mercian jobs they did are ugly as sin!
Mercian are great - super nice blokes, good old fashioned service and great bikes.

flights are winding me up. one their own, they cost more for a short trip and are cheaper if you go for a whole week!
4 days apart = £1200
1 week apart = £400someone explained it's cos they think you're a business traveller if you go for a few days and a tourist if you go for a week or more.
problem is if you get the cheaper week apart flights you end up spending more on spending money and accom
make sure you have a saturday night in the trip as 99% of cheap contracts will have this as a rule.

Not an enormous amount - only a little more than the float would usually allow. Because i was used to it so much before it definitely feels way more loose. The left cleat needs a reassuring amount of movement to pop out of the pedal where as the right feels like it comes out with very little movement - there is no reassuring click when you pop out like there is on the left..

Considering the cracks - will they have much life in them? I have a build waiting and live in n16 so would def be keen - but the bike will be ridden alot....
