Prob wrong time of year, but anyone want a free raker. I brought it home from my folks and tried to cut the grass with it . Based se20 .
Had not had much use , but has been outside under plastic for a few months .

Our 10 year old valiant needed a new circuit board the day we moved in, as had been turned off for months. Sorted now ( we needed it fixing then and there ) , but will surely think about for future.

Look out for Alan partridge on a Brompton. I was in the Brompton junction checking out the new g line ( very impressed by the way) and the man himself walked in and asked about a titanium electric Brompton. The chap serving him was none the wiser of who he was, and no one bothered him. I know he is working round the corner on dr Strangelove ..

I like large Americano’s , and only do filter as that is all we can do without any machines . Is £500 a good number , but that is top end .

Anyone want to recommend a coffee machine . We drink a lot of filter coffee , and thinking of an upgrade . Bean to cup would be nice , but would also consider a separate grinder / coffee machine set up . Something easy to clean would be great and value / good quality as opposed to a fashion piece that costs a fortune :)

Here mine , can get blocked up as there is a pipe at the bottom with tight bend that heads off to main drain running along side of house . Splashes up and wets wall when the rain is heavy so not sure I would recommend

Although I am no expect but we just used in our renovation in some under roof bits. Insulated plaster board sheet added to the outside wall, we did that to two of our external walls and it made a big difference and not that much thickesss

Thanks . Maybe just some inhibitor then . Which I think might be the recommendation of the plumber, we will see ..

Any thoughts on power flush to keep our new column rads from rusting ?

We ended up fitting massive column radiators ( as missus liked the look of them ) relative to the smaller efficient ones we removed , I was not sure the boiler would be up to it, but plumber said it would be fine and it was , just takes longer ..

Just takes longer to heat up was only thing my boiler chap said to me

Is a power flush worth it ?
Just had five new column rads fitted , other 4 or so rads and boiler maybe 15-20 years old. Boiler man coming on Thursday to commission as we had a number of rads disconnected for decorating. Heating did seem to work ok, but we did find some sludge in the rads we binned . Funnily the boiler man is not convinced we need it( will check when he is here ) , I am happy to pay to extend life of new rads etc
