Does this deserve it's own thread? I'm not sure.
FILM NIGHT - hosted by Dulwich Paragon is this coming Monday. We'll probably show some shorts or tour of Poland highlights. The main feature is "A Boy, a Girl and a Bike" in Bob's words
*The main feature out-retros the last film night and heads back to post-war Yorkshire for a short story set within the club cycling and road racing scene of the day. “A Boy, a Girl and a Bike” starring Diana Dors.

Look mum no hands! ( bike cafe on Old St, London) has a growing pile of old wheels and tyres in the yard. They vary in condition. I'm not sure that any will work as wheels for your bike but if you were building a sculpture out of old wheels you may be happy. Come and have a look and take what you want. Just ask Sam or Nik if the pile is not immediately obvious.

The jumble is now a regular occurrence. Broadly bike based. Bring as much as you can carry, no van loads. 11am start on the first Sunday of every month. Next one is Sunday the 4th of July.
We have bunting, beer, coffee and cake.
We're also still very excited about our craft fair http://www.lfgss.com/thread44144.html Hoping that this will happen in July.

Are you selling the toaster because you haven't been selling enough toast? Because, to be honest, I didn't know you sold toast. I'm not saying for sure, but if I knew, maybe I would have bought some. Maybe make a sign and give toast one more chance?
I just have to write "give toast a chance" on the board. We're selling cos we got a better one. A Dualit that does muffins and crumpets too.

So the Jumble starts at 11, the Mountain bike world cup live from Fort William starts at 12 and the Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré is at 5pm. We're showing the whole lot on the big screen.
We've got some excess cafe stuff for sale too like a big shiny chrome 6 slot toaster for those with a big family. I am most excited about the bunting though.

Really pleased that there''s so much interest. Just dug some mental stuff up to sell on Sunday, bike stuff as well as a whip (might be used full on a tandem), some goggles and some records.
We've been busy this weekend with the Giro and I'm starting to wonder whether we need more tables. Ideas very welcome on how we might get extra tables - either fold up tresles type things for the jumble or ideas on where we can get some nice tables and chairs permanently for the cafe which we'll need long term anyway.

We're having a bring and buy sale just like at school except with beer and cycling on a big telly

We're having a bike jumble / bring and buy type sale at the cafe next Sunday morning (16th May) at about 11am. We're making it up as we go along but the basic idea is that you bring your stuff, plonk it on a table and sell it / swap it for other people's stuff. We don't want any pro traders so you can only bring as much stuff as you can carry.
It's free to display your wares. If it's sunny we can do it in the yard. The Giro is on the big screen from about 2pm.
It would be good to get an idea of numbers so if you could let us know if you plan to sell in the thread. If it's busy we may have to share tables.

Matthew Algie and Espresso warehouse are one and the same, they supply M&S & Pret to name a few of the big ones. They are famous for putting the beautiful retro styled Electra Barlume in coffee bars. Tinderbox was started up by David Williamson who was the top man at MA before he passed away last year. There's one in Angel so you don't have to go to all the way to Glasgow. One of the best things about Tinderbox was the music which David did himself with the help of rough trade. Not sure who does this now.
Thanks for the interest in Lookmumnohands! I will PM you but do check out the ad on www.londoncoffeejobs.co.uk
It's free and so is the popcorn.
