Maybe we could put a link to all these threads Paul Michel has started in the welcome message - partly as a warning to new members of posting new question threads before searching, but mainly I think because in most of them there is some really good advice and information.
I am going to compile it all as a gift back once I've milked it comprehensively.

You don't half worry a lot Paul. There are always pros and cons; just weight them up, choose and get on with it man! I look forward to a couple of weeks time when you are riding and enjoying it and a bit more relaxed. :)
I am just a sad anorak, thats all. I get too much pleasure reading this and that about everything under the sun. :)
In fact, I think my obsession over gear at present is that I'm simply frustrated I've not yet got the bike since all I want to do is ride. Not running is killing me.

I have a USE Joystick Maxx (ohh Matron!)
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Exposure_Joystick_MaXx_2_Wiggle_Front_Light/5360037879/ up front and:
BLT Fantom XR9
http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/Product/-1/308400/ukbike/blt-fantom-xr9-rear-light--1-watt-superbright.html
at the rear.
On unlit lanes I have drivers queuing up behind me, afraid to overtake the blinding red blob, and on-coming drivers screaming "Turn your f*****g main beam down".So they may be pricey, but they work for me.
Toodle pip
Well you certainly cannot argue with the reviews of the former, crikey! Do you fit yours on the bike or your head? And is it annoying having the lithium battery? How long have you had it, as I worry about those things dying altogether. Also how long have you found it has lasted with each charge?

got one of these
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Cateye_EL610_Single_Shot_Plus_Front_Light/5360031622/
it lasts for ages on a charge and is bright as fuck
What bothers me about this is the fact that it is lithium and not just AA rechargables.

Hot soapy water will do for the frame and wheels. A bottle of degreaser for the chain will help keep it running smooth; don't forget to dry it and re-oil it though. You don't need a lot of oil; the chain shouldn't be dripping with it. Keeping your chain in order reduces wear on the other bits and saves you money in the long run. I use a nail brush from the corner shop; nice stiff bristles that get between the links and cheap too.
So the chain cleaning things are not worth it?
I've used Muc Off on my old MTB before but I think water is probably less faff, especially with discs (which admittedly I don't have on this new one)

For some reason these were not on the main page, but it looks like I can get 32's after all.
What a steal!

Luckily the bike is single speed. :)
I am not even sure I can write shit about that.
