So you use an M18 with a Series 3?
The problem, as I see it, with the series 3 is that the 0.7m version is too short to sling round the shouldr or your waist, my waist is about 85 cm. And the 1.5m is too long.
The Series 4 and the kryp are 1m, which is perfect.
As for Almax breaking the Krpy with a bolt cutter, I think thats only possible because the chain is on the ground, which is how it is with a motorcyle - but with bikes, it'll be in the air, making a bolt cropper impossible. Obviously, they can all be angle grinded - but a mini on the rear and a chain round the front (and i totally see your argument for the flexiblity it allows you, as I hate trying to find somewhere to fit a mini d) would literally make the bike impossible to be stolen at busy times of day in busy areas. Its a small investment for a peace of mind I think.

Cycle Surgery stock them, as does hubjub.
The keyw ith cycle surgery is just to find out which of their stores have the one you want.
London fields also do them, as per pitlock website.
I only ahve front wheel at the minute, but will get the others too.
You can even get them for breaks!
i have emailed them about rear wheels - although I normally use the mini d on the back, I don't think you can ever have too much security!

GA2G - Where did you get that pitlock photo from?
I actually intend to use a min-d on my front wheel to the frame, in addition to the Pitlock. Yes, that might be overkill, but pitlock is light so I save weight. :)
Plus, it means I don't have to worry about the front wheel if I am leaving it for a short while so much.
I just got an email from Almax (because I am buying one of their chains soon), and it gives some useful info you might want to add to the list:
The Series IV weighs 6.31kgs per metre the Series III weighs 4.34kgs per metre. both chains cannot be boltcropped by hand. The Series IV was designed for home security and for people who have to park outside.
The Squire lock weighs 1.1kgsFucking hell!
I still think I am going to get one, though. Leave the chain at work, then only get it out when I am going out for a drink afterwork or am leaving it someplace for a while.

Why are Hublox recommended above Pit Locks?
Unlike pitlocks they use a generic key - one Hublox can open any. Thats nowhere near as good as Pitlock's unique one.
Or am I missing something?
Also, Almax IV are better than III - I am trying to find out from them at the moment how heavy they are as I'm thinking of getting one.

The guy is clearly enjoying himself in being deliberately inflamatory. He's admitted as much in his apology thread. Engaging with him directly is perpetuating the nonsense. Dont bite - he'll get bored soon.
You are right. I still find it funny that everyone hasnt already added me to the ignore list. Why waste time on me? I am at a level lower than Plankton.
Now let me get back to masturbating furiously over photos of Carol Vorderman, in my mums matrimonial bed.

I am rarely going to post anymore, because I've not the energy or time to argue with the sensitive, pathetic people on this board. And I see very little reason to ever meet up with any of them, except a few individuals, but they are individuals no the board as a whole.
I might from now on just occasionally post mechanics type questions (although there may even be better forums for that)

Well, thats the point isnt it - reporting it will do no good.
He said he got the impression it wasn'ty racially motivated, ie that they picked out an ethnic minority, more than when they threw it and noticed he wasnt white they just shouted it instead.
Funny thing is he is not even Indian, he is from Thailand! Ignoranrant retards.

Who has done it?
I am struggling with some stiffnees is I try and ride on the drop downs and want to nip this in the bud.
What I am concerned about is that, if I were to get my bike stolen, or decide to sell it, the money spent is effectively lost. Is there anyway to take away measurements or some other transferable knowledge from the session so that I won't necessarily have to pay again sometime in the future?
