Ok. Bare it in mind. Hilary sells alot of stuff. I think £40 is a fair price.
cheersIf you're stuck for a buyer after a while and need rid, I'll give you £30 posted via whatever slow-ass cheap method you wish. That's about what I would be paying hilary for a similar set otherwise and I'm not in a rush. Not trying to lowball you, just providing a last resort if you need it.
Cheers, Doug. -
pic 1-2. Moustach style bars with a slight drop wrapped in yellow 'leather' bar tape attached to old pivo stem. Bars are 465mm tip to tip and really would suit a 'fastboy' or path racer style build. Stem is 50mm in length and could do with a polish. £23 + £5 post
pic 3-4. Continental Grand prix 3000 tyre for 650 clincher (20 wide). Although this tyre is a little dirty it looks to have never been used! And its orange. £20 + £3 post
pic 5. Old Rolls saddle in fluro green. Obviously well used with a slight rip on the back left corner. I have never seen another colour like it! So i'm guessing this is a rare one! Because of the condition its in I'm selling it cheap. £20 posted
PM me regarding payment and delivery details.

Ok. A few things I have for sale!
pic 1. Campagnolo G.S 170 Cranks with 52/42 rings. Now these are in extremely good condition and have all the original Campag chain ring bolts! The rings are alu and have very little wear on the teeth, also, all threads are completely fine. There is a small scratch on the inner of the drive side crank where its hit the mech but apart from that they look practically new. £75
pic 2. Campagnolo G.S 170 cranks with original 54/42 steel rings. Again, all original bolts and threads completely fine. These are not as in good condition with scratches on both arms and slightly 'grooved' 10mm up from the pedal holes, but would polish up beautifully! Also scratched from the front mech. £60
pic 3. Cinelli L.A.84 time trial bars (bullhorn) 42cm wide with Cinelli stem (120mm). The bars have been drilled for brakes at the tips and also at the clamp area and slight scuffing on the outer bends. Obviously if taped then you wouldn't notice. Stem is scratched where they went in to the forks (invisable when mounted!) and again, would polish up nicely, also the stem has an 'aggressive' drop like Nitto jag stem! Bar and stem come as a combo. £35
pic 4. 650 Cxp14 rim 32 hole. Great condition apart from missing a sticker on one side! Ideal for lo-pro builds! £30
pic 5. Fluted Campag seatpost 27.2. Scratched below limit line (and a little above) £12
Rare Mavic front mech in really good condition for doudle ringed chainset. Missing the barrell that connects the two blades at the bottom but this is super easy to fix! £17
Old Cinelli stamped stem 130mm. Really good nic but could do with some TLC! £10Items in pics 1-4 £5 postage and all items in pic 5 £3. Due to not having a paypal account the money would have to be paid into my bank. I know there may be issues of trust about this but I've always bought and sold items on here without any probs. I'm sure eyebrows can vouch for me. First come first serve
Cheers

Amazing from the ground up to the top tube. Above that, not so keen.
Horses for courses I guess. I have to admit tho that the seatpost stinks (ex langster) and I did used to have a nice tan suede selle Laser saddle which my bro skanked. I'm stoked with the cinelli stem and flat bars mind you!.........This is a current project don't cha know:) -
Going to try this thread for my newbie question if you don't mind. I got a road frame to replace my stolen bike, and it comes with bb and road cranks (shimano) that can't be removed. I'm keeping them and getting a wheelset built with Gran Compe hubs. Has anyone experience / any idea of how difficult getting a good chainline with this setup would be? How should I prepare to get through this without too much sweating? This will be my first fixer so yeah
Right then. Are you sure you can't remove the cranks. I've found soaking them in plus gas (anti seize spray) for 24hrs will 9 times out of 10 do the trick. If this fails then heating the seized area with a blowtorch then using a crank extractor should work. Otherwise I feel your gonna be in a hold world of pain as road chainsets usually require a b/b with a width of 116-122.5 whereas single speeds (fixed) usually need between 107-110. If I were you try and get the cranks off then see if you can remove the b/b. 10% effort 110% reward....... -

you can tell who's been spending time up at that ruddy track with RPM... still, i don't disagree with gizmond for second hand wheels. You'd easily build these new for £200, £170 is also doable.
I guess if you built the wheels yourself or knew someone who'd do it for free, met that guy in the service station with the cheap rims and got some second hand miche hubs well cheap plus cheap spokes then you could do it cheaper still........
-
If I were given the choice between the two I'd still go for the Mavics, warranty or not. If you're the kind of rider that drops stairs and cycles backwards then I see where you're coming from, but personally thats not my thing...........Miche hubs don't break the bank so if something were to go wrong I wouldn't mind as much, not as much as say a set of DA's or phils. Obviously this is only my opinion and I'll stick by my guns and say that £170 is a fair price for this set of wheels.
I have scouts on the ground, connections to Oxfords underworld and a small wager I can find this bike in 2 weeks.
