2010 Cooper T100 Monza Single Speed / Fixed Gear RRP £650
OK, 1 year old First Edition Cooper T100 Monza. See pics and blurb below. £300.Come have a look and a test ride?
Metallic blue (photo's don't do it justice) single speed / fixed wheel bike. Only a year old and the same bike is selling for £650 in Evans( http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cooper/t100-monza-2010-single-speed-bike-ec022427 )now.
Really good condition. The only marks are the small chips to the paint from carrying a lock and some surface rust on some of the bolts.
Everything works perfectly, the bottom bracket, headset and wheel bearings roll perfectly smoothly with no play. The tyres have loads of life left and hold pressure perfectly. The chain is not stretched and the wheels are true.
Cooper Bikes only started in the bike business in 2010 but the Cooper name is well known from the world of motor sport most notably because of the iconic Mini Cooper. This bike is from their first edition.
The frame is made of Reynolds 520 butted steel with matching straight blade steel forks. This gives a light, fast, smooth ride.
BikeRadar gave it a rave review - 4.5 stars out of 5.
The frame is 57cm which fits me (5' 11") perfectly with the saddle at the height shown in the photos. Obviously the saddle can be lowered or raised to suit. Also the stem can be flipped.
I've only ridden the bike single speed with both brakes. The back wheel has a flip flop hub and comes with a 16 tooth fixed cog as well as the 16 tooth free wheel. Obviously the brakes can be removed if that's the way you roll.
If you have any questions, want to see any more pictures or arrange a test ride then shout.

Weird frame for sale. The only things I can find on the internet about Keith Rylance relate to motor bike speedway in Wigan in 1960 and a US brake lever patent.
Nevertheless this frame claims to have been "Designed and Engineered in the U.K. by Keith Rylance". That's painted on and under the lacquer. There are also stickers stating that it was made under license in Taiwan and "Guaranteed all tubes Thermal Inert Gas welded". Go figure.
Here's some spec:
- 18" c-t-t aluminium frame
- triple triangle design with gusseted head tube
- takes 27.2mm seatpost
- for 26" wheels
- 1" head tube
- U brake bosses (NOT V BRAKE) on the seat stays
- Track ends / horizontal drop outs
- Riveted brake and gear cable routing and drilling for rear mech
- Basic seatpost clamp included
1" headset of unknown provenance but unused (I think) included
I bought it as new old stock and have never fully built it up. Unfortunately it's picked up a few scratches because of my bad storage and bad builders.
£70 posted anyone?
Or £60 collected from Brighton?
- 18" c-t-t aluminium frame

The shorts are 98% cotton, 2% elastane (spandex). It's not stretchy, shiny, itchy or thin, no idea of it's propensity to bobble. They cover the top part of my legs and not the bottom part while not cutting off the blood supply to the family jewels nor requiring the use of braces. That's good enough for me.
I'm not trying to persuade anyone (fashion victims or otherwise) to buy them, just sayin.
-
So, next day delivery, can't complain there.
Now, I'm a scruffy get so not qualified to comment on fashion issues.
Anyway, the shorts do what they say on the tin. They fit pretty good. Bit tighter in the legs than all my other shorts but then these have cycle specific cut apparently. The adjustability in the waistband is pretty cool.
Trousers. I got a bigger size than in the shorts and consequently they are bigger. All makes sense. They're basically just black chinos with a velcro strap on one leg. Surprisingly I've not managed to spill anything on them yet so can't comment on their purported oil, water and stain repellentness.
The half zip merino top is merino and a top. I'd say the zip was more like a third though. The XL pretty is big for XL but I've no intention of hand washing (!?!) it and intend to cut the sleeves off so expect it will fit me well enough after that and a wash.
£53 posted for the lot seems pretty good to me. I'd say original prices are over the top and selling stuff that's supposed to be hand wash only without warning is a bit shitty. Other than that I'm pretty happy.
And yes, The Inspiral Carpets are great.
