a change of saddle and bars would do it some good.
Yep, I'm looking for some bars that are closer to the original speedway bars but a bit more practical (and not anodised red!). Something like these:
but narrower would be nice.
Yeah, saddle, it'd comfy...It goes with the (ordered in error but I like now) white wall tyres, no?

My Rick Powell lo pro frame and forks is for sale, see:
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread6261-333.html#post995307
It's 50cm c-t. takes 650c wheels.
Sadly I knocked the down tube shifters braze on off :( No problem if you're building a fixie, not the end of the world if you've got to get it brazed back on.
More pics available, PM for more details.

That's forking great work there! Simple and effective, I assume the figures are all correct? I.e. it's not just test data that's in there? I've never understood why a company like DT Swiss can't make a simple comprehensive spoke calculator like yours!
Sadly I can only barely use English so can't help with your admirable translation plans.
Cheers!

One of my favourite jobs, very satisfying when you get em out! Need vice though. Micro adjust seatpost much easier to get hold if. If it goes horribly pears up I've drilled one out with a 25mm bit and hand drill quite successfully. Takes a while. I've also damaged a frame in a seatpost drilling accident...
Good luck!

Good evening.
I managed to pop the downtube shifter braze on off my rick powell tt frame and wondered if I can reattach it without requiring a respray?
There are various metal epoxy glues that claim to be as good as brazing but I'm sceptical.
Could I get it re-brazed without damage?
Anyone got any experience of this most disappointing of situations?
Cheers!

Yep, merino definitely wins! The Endura t-shirt is good but the howies equivalent is MUCH better. It's also damn near double the price but I got mine half price from Wiggle a coupla years ago and it's still going strong, and doesn't smell at all, and sweating is one of the few things I'm good at in life.
Got the Endura Beanie on Saturday (Cycle Surgery price matched tredz.co.uk :)) and it's pretty good, bit sweaty (see above). reckon It'll be appreciated in the depths of winter.

awesome- where did you find it?
i had been looking up cycle speedway bikes recently (polo) but never found any for sale. Archie Wikinson seem to be the only company still making them.
Just to warn you now, its going to ridiculously twitchy for normal riding with loads of toe-overlap! (and freewheel, no-brakes, but you can remedy that!)Thanks for the warnings! Yeah, was planning on getting a fixed hub and a front brake on there, dunno if a rear brake will be an option, we'll see.
Got it off fleabay coz it's pretty then started looking into speedway. Like what he said, having done some trawling, there do seem to be some frames and whole bikes for sale via speedway sites for what seems like very reasonable $.
