Thanks - that’s kind of the same position I am in, I have a 80-200mm lens and a 2x teleconverter, and find myself gawping at 600mm lenses and having to remind myself that there’s a hell of a lot to do with the kit I have before I could justify dropping £600 or more on a second hand longer lens.

What sort of focal length are you using to capture these? I never seem to get close enough to catch that sort of detail.

Another walk, more birds

Quite spooky! The buzzard was actually a starling pretending to be a buzzard, and possibly also making swift noises. Mallard? Could be distant Canada geese? House being shared with builders.

I feel blessed every time I see this animal out hunting. Mrs Ludd got home from work and said shall we go for a quick walk. I said I might bring my camera just in case we see a owl. Mrs Ludd sighs. We go out and see a owl hunting over the tractor field and we are both happy and I only take about 20 photos of it.

I love that treecreeper! I have only ever seen one once and it was a fleeting glimpse. Are there actually plenty around?
