How embarrassing - that I have to admit to having exactly the same reaction to that arch. My excuse is that I can't help seeing a bit of Grand Designs while trying to persuade the smallest Luddlet to switch the telly off and do some music practice... (victorian dad?)
Anyway, Bruce, did you test the strength of the arch by taking the lavender-scented bike up it?

I've just switched my pearson over to a square taper BB and so I have this basic silver chainset for sale. 170mm cranks, pretty sure it's 130mm BCD, and the ring is 48T and has light wear. There's some scuffing on the face of the crank arms and there's a bit of rough abrasion on the end of the left crank (see second pic). Comes with the ISIS standard crank bolts. It's branded FSA on the outer face of the cranks but RPM on the inside.
£15 collected in WC2 or I can deliver within reasonable distance of town or SE London. Could post for a couple of quid extra.

A front spok and skate helmet combo turning left from the E&C bypass path onto the London Road this morning. On the off chance you're on here, pause a moment: I can see the temptation to do that turn (I've done it myself) but there's a good reason for it being prohibited, namely that there are peds crossing on the green man when you do it, and it was not surprising that the pedestrian you narrowly missed said something. I bet he learnt his lesson when, from fifty yards down the road, you turned and flipped the bird at him.
In other news, a truly gorgeous not quite baby blue (more kind of slatey neoclassical subdued Adam-style) Moulton being ridden up Waterloo Road by someone who looked like BMMF's younger brother. If I'd been able to keep pace, I'd have pointed out the bleedin' obvious and told you it's a nice bike.

I've managed to shift quite a few bits but there's a fair amount still to go. I can't really drop the prices on the free stuff but happy to entertain offers (of cash) for any of the priced stuff.
If any of the dibbers (pandah, saxby's, coventry eagle) don't want the parts any more, pls to be letting me know.

cool story warning: I used to work on the Haymarket and often locked up on a parking meter outside macdonalds. One day after work I came out and it had gone - the parking meter had been moved about 20 yards down the road, and the workmen who'd done it had gone to the trouble of making sure my bike was still locked to it when they finished moving it.

Just a minor point, to avoid any unpleasantness between seller and buyer: I wonder whether Ricco has been less than open with you about whether s/he is male or female. To my untrained eye, I'd say Ricco was female.
I apologise if this seems to be treading on people's toes, or if my use of the past tense seems insensitive in the light of Ricco's current condition.

I have an unused pair of Deuter Uni panniers sitting in a cupboard. Like these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/deuter-rack-pack-uni-panniers/.
I bought them last summer with dreams of touring, but now I've sold my tourer and can't see myself using these panniers in the near future.
£30?
