Late eighties Vitus 979 60 cm C-T ST, 57.5 cm TT with Campagnolo Croce D'Aune groupset, Delta brakes etc, Cinelli bars and stem, Mavic Open 4CD wheels, new grey Michelin tyres and Fizik bar tape, black Turbo saddle (not the Flite pictured).
The bike is in good condition (some marks commensurate with age). The frame is sound and undamaged and rides beautifully. More pictures available if needed.

Quite right too. Here's a pic of another project (again there wasn't much to do) which shows I'm not a complete philistine when it comes to tan sidewall tyres!

Needs tan sidewall tyres but other than that it's perfect.

Yes, I wondered about preserving the vintage look, but the grey tape, grey (not black as it looks in pic) Flite and tyres look good against the white paint and polished aluminium. The original tan sidewall tyres were falling apart, threads sticking out everywhere.

Frame (eighties?) in original paint finish – a bit worn and touched up here and there, but looks good. The chrome on the forks is in excellent condition.

Rear wheel is new with Open Pro rim and flip/flop hub (16 both sides)
Front wheel – unknown as stickers removed – but runs smoothly.
