Hi provenrad - I bought the Ti Raleigh on eBay last week and will post some pics in due course - it is full Nuovo Record, but I will be fitting some SR levers as you have (who can resist the holes?) and some yellow Benotto tape. I found some late 80s Chorus Aero pedals and clips as well.
There is one on the bay at the moment not moving coz of bad pics.
A question - is it possible to get touch up paint? The paint on mine is good, but there are a couple of chips to touch in.
Thanks

ON HOLD - I bought this recently but realise with regret that it is really too small for me - so it's up for trade for a 58cm or so steel track bike or frame. I am happy to consider offers to sell.
The Benotto measures, seat tube - about 56cm C-T, top tube - 55cm C-C and comes with Cinelli Benotto stem and Campag BB and headset -

Thanks again Dicki for fetching the bike for me - you don't mention that the next day you rode the bike for 2 hours from E London to my home in SW London.
The bike is lovely - it doesn't need much work, but I'm upgrading a few parts (eg tasty holed SR brake levers) - no pics as yet, but here are a couple taken from the eBay listing -

I was Dicki's first customer - a recent pulmonary embolus restricted travel for a while and D came galloping to the rescue to pick up a Ti Raleigh 531 from Brum for me. He's reported on his adventures in another post - the bike arrived safely and is now being stripped for further action.
Thanks again D - it was good to meet you - great service!

I bought a bike from a seller just SW of Birmingham last week and then had a sudden pulomonary embolism, as a result of which I'm just out of hospital. I can't drive any distance for some weeks and am desperate to get the bike (it'll help my recovery I think!)
Before I use a commercial carrier I though I'd see if anyone here wanted a job getting it for me. I've seen requests for work here - please get in touch and we can talk rates etc.

I'm looking to trade my 1946 Higgins Ultralite for something newer (seventies plus), Italian (Bianchi, Colnago etc etc), fixed if possible, maybe a track bike (but drilled for front brake).
I will consider frame or full bike with £ adjustment either way - I paid £295 and hope to recover that value.
Higgins only built about 2000 bikes, he mainly made trikes. It was restored 10 years ago and lightly used since. I have the original bill of sale signed by Higgins. It rides beautifully - Reynolds 531 and beautifully bronze welded for lightness. It is British Racing Green. I intended to convert it to fixed, but it hasn't happened.
Seat tube C-T 24", top tube C-C 23", 5 speed Cyclo Benelux, Williams crankset, GB stem and bars, Brooks B17, Weinmann brakes and 27" wheels.
