New BB and brake cables are all I need to get it rolling now. Can't wait to get it out for a spin!

Fork repair finished. It's not pretty, but it's plenty strong, and it's getting painter:

Can't remember if I've ever stuck my ratty bikes in here before. Quite possibly, so apologies if I'm self-reposting.
This is my most used/practical bike ever. It's done thousands of commuting miles, hauling tools etc, in all weathers. It's looking much rattier now, but still running sweet. I'll take an up-to-date photo when I next have my camera on me.
This was it freshly stripped:

My lack of willpower, when it comes to resisting shiny bike bits, is disgusting.

I didn't take any photos during the repair, as I had epoxy coated gloves on! There's not a huge amount to it really. Maybe you an see slightly better in the below photo- I sanded a 'scoop' out of the carbon, so the point of the crack is almost down to nothing, then I built it up again with 5 layers of 200g carbon weave, which will be heavier than the surrounding fork leg, but I'd rather overdo a brake boss, than risk it breaking again in the future! I'll grab a photo of the finished repair, when I get a chance. It looks a bit neater now.

Thanks for all the kind comments. The track end mod was just freehand with an angle grinder, and cleaned up with a file. I obviously marked everything out, and checked symmetry etc first, but it's nothing extraordinary. I'm thinking about drilling and tapping an M5 hole into the dropout, to give the option of mudguards and rack in the future. I won't need it for now though, so I'll probably just leave it, and do it when it's necessary.

I'm building a slightly-modified pompino as a sscx bike at the moment. Current project thread here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/264797/#comment12172004

I decided to take the afternoon off boat-building duties to do some work on the bike…
When I bought the frame, it had a small(ish) dent in the downtube, which I didn't know about until I got it home and had a proper look at it. It's not enough to cause any structural concerns, just aesthetically annoying, so I decided to fill and fair it, and re-paint the frame. While I was at it; I thought I might as well remove the unwanted braze-ons, and modify the unnecessarily long, and rather inelegant track ends, so that's what I did.

I also started work on the fork repair:

Thanks.
I need a 68mm GXP. Got one on the way from chain reaction, just a case of waiting for the postman...
