Thanks for the offer, but to be honest, Im kind of just looking for a rideable Sturmey wheel that doesn't require any work. If I have to go and buy replacement spokes and check that the wheel is running true, it's going to end up costing as much as if I just went out and bought a crapper old Raleigh and took the wheel off it.

Problem is, is that I need to find one, preferably in London. The search continues!

Hey all. The sturmey hub on my Hercules exploded the other day and im desperately hunting for a sturmey rim/hub replacement, the tube is getting pricey! I've seen a few pop up on ebay in the past week (attached to old Raleigh bikes) but other people keep beating me to them.

Im specifically looking for a complete, true wheel as I dont want to have to pay to have the wheel rebuilt :/ (could buy an ebay raleigh for less).

If anyone has a spare sturmey wheel with a working hub laying around, please let me know! I can collect from most places in London or can meet you around SE1 or E9.

Resprayed 531 (maybe) or Columbus (perhaps) Condor (I think) with campy track ends and nervex lugs w/ small dent on the underside of the rear stay. Currently £52 with 8 days left.

a similar, yet slightly smaller Gitane just went up on Ebay.com/Portland (with a Phil Wood BB). Not as shiny and you wont get it for lower than $388 (his reserve is $400), but might be worth a watch.
