I'm actually looking to replace some really nice Atout ones that I've successfully ruined by MTBing through the winter and snagging them on brambles and branches.

Pulled the trigger on the fake AliExpress Rapha ones link to by @dglshrn, 4 pairs of black for £8 shipped seemed to be worth a punt.

Long shot but some time ago, somewhere on the forum, someone linked to some totally plain cycling socks available in white or black from AliExpress that were cheap and well made.

Every so often I check to see if I can find them and searching just turns up fake Rapha and Maap socks. Does anyone know if ordering these might actually yield plain ones?

All the fire roads north of Rangers Road are super fast and dry, everywhere to the south of that is a total write off. As is everything around High Beech

A lot of the trails on the east/Loughton side of Epping New Road are drying out but still a bit boggy

The BP on Forest Road (Walthamstow) used to be my go-to, noticed that it was operational when I last passed about a week ago

Yeah, love that little cut through! I think Leytonstone and Wanstead stations are both about 15 mins walk or so- which is certainly not far but I was previously about 100 metres from Blackhorse Road station so somewhat spoilt.

There's spare shelves in the garage too- our offer was conditional on the seller on throwing them all in with the purchase

I've just moved from Walthamstow (renting) to Aldersbrook (flat purchase)- which is basically within walking distance of the nice bits of Leytonstone/Forest Gate/Wanstead.

Was extremely eager, almost desperate, to stay in Walthamstow but there just wasn't anything that ticked all the boxes coming up at a sensible price.

Lucky to have a completely renovated 2 bedroom flat here with a 999 year lease and a separate garage. Have Wanstead Flats about 50 metres from my front door and can ride or run singletrack up to Epping Forest without touching road once.

Only weird thing is that there is no station or shops nearby, but really doesn't bother me at all.

Finally nailed the very last of the unpacking and now have shit loads of moving boxes available for free in E11- near the Bushwood end of Leytonstone.

Tend to lurk a fair bit on this thread and seem to recall a couple of others out this way with plans to move soon
