Anyone know of other places that sell the Nitto M106 bars?
The only places I can find are Alex Cycles and Tokyo Fixed Gear.
Just throught I'd check before I order from Alex Cycles. The shipping isn't too bad, and there's no taxes (because I'm in Australia), but the price is still pretty steep.
Have you looked at the Soma Highway 1s? Very similar geo. Just ordered some from SJS. £40.99 inc p&p I think.

Anyone ridden both types on the same bike for direct comparison?
My new bars are on the way and I thought I might just sell the old ones taped up with the R200 levers on there but not sure what to get this time round. Is the braking any better with the S500s? I find the R200s pretty comfy on the hoods, they're cheaper and I like the fact they have a return spring as one lever will be dormant at times. What would anyone reccomend?

Nope, like the middle ones in this picture, rather than angled upward as you have them:
Have a look here, it's a great resource: http://ruedatropical.com/2009/03/road-drop-bar-geometry/
If you read your own resource, it mentions bar angle right at the start and suggests it may vary, from the ends of the drops being perpendicular to the ground to being parallel with the head tube, which is where I usually start and looks to be about where mechamorgan has his.

No 90mm or 100mm in black tho :( -

They look really good, and also come in 46cm width.
They going on the On One, or a different project?Yeah, they're for the Pompetamine. Really never liked the new style Thomson stem, aesthetically, so I've gone for a 26.0 version in the same size and with those bars it should feel pretty similar. I know goin from 31.8 to 26.0 seems daft and it's not as stiff but it's a Pompetamine so hardly a performance orientated machine.

Listed is 85mm reach, but in fact mine were 95-100mm reach.
What I wanted was a 75-85mm max reach bar and they just were too much of a stretch, but they are lovely looking bars, and at the price, hard to match.
Cheers mate, you just saved me a whole load of grief. Was going to buy them purely based on the listed geo. Now I've compared pics to my Ritchey Classic Curve and they're clearly loads bigger reach. New plan is Soma Highway Ones which are almost the same on paper and look a hell of a lot closer in pics. Also they come in silver so save me some polishing.

I'm sure I've heard of someone using a biro spring on here for the S500 but I can't find the thread.
Unfortunately Tektro have stopped making the R200 but they still come up on eBay sometimes.
Don't think Campag do a single speed lever do they? Not really in the market for spending big bucks on lever/shifters and then pulling them apart.
