People like sophie, yoav etc arent on the forum and might not have known about the form, who is able and wants to go to geneva? lets all fill in this list and then we will have a better idea of what the hell we are actually arguing about...

ste i know u have told me about this before but i still dont remember playing these games. Did Mango Sharks play with colin? Who are mango Sharks now?Were Le mallet jaune, Doomallets, Hip Replacements and 2 Beer rule involved? When did we play all these games and dont you think that seeing as most of the other teams that have formed in the last month or so have drastically improved in that period it is maybe unfair on them to be judged on performance a few months ago in a few random throw ins when everyone wasnt there and the teams were different?

2 the top two teams in Manchester according to Uk champs results are Netto and 2 Beer Rule and i know that Wayne doesnt want to play polo anymore leaving a space
3 Marek, who is recognised as one of the best players in MCR is teamless and deserves to be in a team with players of a similar standard
4 We want the best possible teams from MCR so that we can give London some real competition in these tourneys

the anonymous bit would be that people dont know which piece of paper was written by who, allowing people to give frank opinions that they otherwise might not feel comfortable giving

the idea was that everyone writes down the combinations of MCR players that they think would function best as teams on pieces of paper, puts them in a hat and then we look at them all and use those as a guide for getting some good teams going...any other suggestions?we could just sit down a work it out in the pub or at polo if people promise not to get offended.....

well im a bit unsure but it seemed (and im not alone in this from the conversations iv had with various people in the last couple of days) that the teams entered in the tourney arent the best combinations that we could have had and that has hindered MCR's progression as much as the lack of competitive practice. Now Woody and MrKawasaki have both started threads detailing how we can get more competitive play, but it seems like we need a reshuffle of teams and its best to get it into the open before people think that anyone is talking behind anyone elses back which they are not doing and all the feelgood atmosphere from the tourney around MCR polo disintegrates.

SO...in order to limit people getting upset etc we were thinking about the anonymous list thing cause it seems that alot of people might have the same ideas about who plays well with who and who doesnt. From those lists we may have a more neutral basis for resetting the teams than x wanting to play with y and z when others also want to play with them....

or is that too convoluted?

for everyone who wasnt there today, to answer all this talk of reshuffling teams fairly, it was suggested that everyone writes down their ideal teams skillwise, puts them in a hat anonymously and then use those as more of a basis for getting the best teams we can.....thoughts???
