the wimmin get there real early and the protesting freaks are there all day, pestering people as they go in. the thing is i'm not sure about causing even more of a scene as it's already pretty full on with them there and many of the wimmin just want to go in quietly- obviously it's quite an emotional time....so having a bunch of others there shouting, all be it counter anti abortion, could also be pretty upsetting...i think more thought to how it could be done is required

no, BMMF i think that in a sport as rife with cheats as cycling is, it is incredibly important for the cyclists to make a big show of contrition seeing as with every big name rider that gets caught, cycling's integrity takes an even greater hit. Im so tired of having people say to me when I mention i follow cycling "oh but they're just all on drugs though arent they" grrrr. People like Millar are good role models, he realises the damage he has done to the sport and is trying to rectify it as best he can.
However, as Andy says they do have to mean it and the attitudes of riders like Ricco and Basso (when has he expressed any real regret for the damage he has caused?) show that there is still a widespread nonchalance about the doping issue in the peleton.
Oh yeah and surprise surprise, prize for first doper of the season goes to Team Radioshack, good to see the Bruyneel/Armstrong chemical factory is looking after its riders just like it always has done...
