For your application, what you already have will do a perfectly good job, I would think, assuming you have decent mics, lights etc. Panasonic GH series has been the go-to for years, I believe, though you will find people using all sorts. Sony A series is very popular, Canon and Nikon DSLRs from top to bottom of ranges. Newest Fuji model is aimed at video, I believe. No right answer. Solution is determined by budget to a degree.
I use a Nikon D750 with either Rode Videomic Pro or adapted SmartLav+ lapel mics, which I also use with an iPhone 8 for on-the-go vids. Both are fit for purpose.

Feel your pain vis-a-vis hood noise. I was convinced to buy a ridiculously expensive Bosch ceiling hood on the advice that we should aim for sub-50db. Well, this thing is distractingly loud, even on the lowest setting. So I shall be making some investigations as I can't believe a £1200(!) cooker hood is this noisy. Now wish I'd put an inline fan in.

Former work handsets up for grabs. No boxes, no cables, headphones etc. Most will have a screen protector and many a case. 2 years old, all tested and working.
Passing them on with a small markup to cover postage and hassle. Have done zero research into used prices but I'm sure the market will speak if they're way off!
Dibs and PM if you're interested.

Wood floor x-prts: unfinished oak floor was installed yesterday. I had to apply a coat of hardwax oil in dim light at 10pm last night. I knew there would be streaks and spots and there are. Have access to a buffing machine but not a proper floor sander. Will a course then fine buffing pad even things out before I apply a second coat? Or have I fucked it forever?

@Dazaa, could you possibly list the synths you currently have? Looking for something for my kid's bday. Might be interested in that Roland but be good to see what else you have. Thanks!

28mm equivalent is nowhere near wide enough for interiors. #FakeNews
