^ from what you've written it suggests filtering on left is not best practice, but also not something that should be addressed as a never-ever technique.
Usual comments about assessing local conditions and risk at time of decision making - i.e. Do i / we filter left or not right here and now - apply. Common sense really, no?

- Weekend Project: Mini Bike Light[/ame]Probably a repost, almost certainly belongs in epic fail for the patronising intro. Might have a go at making a light though, gotta be cheaper than a 3-led Knog (frog?).

Ordinary as in 'penny farthing' as opposed to 'safety' bicycle with a diamond frame.
Ordinaries were fixed and the gear you pulled was determined by your inside leg measurement, circumference of the large driving wheel gave you gear inches.
^ an Ordinary hasn't any gear. The pedals are attached to the front wheel hub. This is direct drive.
Gear Inches are a measure of the size of wheel you'd need for a direct drive equivalent for one complete rotation of the pedals.

^ I've used the Park Tool patches with no probs, just ensure to stick on flat - any small crease or air bubble seems to increase chance of failure. Thought they'd be a 'get home' option, but have left them in place on road and mtb tubes with no long term failure.
To chip in on earlier handbags:
I let the vulcanising solution dry a bit. Not aware of any brands that are to be used 'wet'. -
I took the inbred out and went over southern cemetery, houghs clough, alex park etc to get to town. Was during the heavy stuff so riding fresh snow with a large tyre footprint was great.
Some melt early pm then more snow made roads trickier this eve, the mains are mostly fine off these it's getting sketchy.
Tomorrow will be interesting...

No link from phone, but B.B. Seaton does a wicked version of Eleanor Rigby on the Trojan Beatles album.
